I was wondering how long it took most of you guys/girls to becoming good with a pump? Thie first time I went out I actually did really good. But this last time I got the crap blown out of me by a bunch of semis.
It would be nice to get a few tips for improving faster as well.

it took me a like 4 games of solid all day playing to be able to consitenly kill and live against semis. It's really good to have good strategy. If you can't whoop with a semi...your gonna have an even harder time with a pump. Strategy is REALLY important. look for angles. THey are your friend.
Realize this. Not once ever will anyone give you slack because you have a pump. and DO NOT be intimidated by semis or electros. It really is the player and not the gun. I have gogged hot-shots carrying angels with one shot from across the field. So don't back down. And practice. It may cost money but you should every weekend when you arn't playing use about 50 balls. Practice snap shooting. sprinting. sliding. and most importanly...your aim. Keep trying. And make your shots count. The worst thing you can do is see a guy...shoot quickly and miss. Cuz he knows where you are and then you are probably screwed. Take your time if he doesn't see you. Make sure it hits.
Go out and kill...:blah:

and to add to that, DON'T get cocky because you're playing pump/stock... ^_^
I was playing stock one day, and crawled to about the 50 w/o being noticed.... a guy from the other team ran and slid into a bunker not 10 yards to my right, didn't even know I was there. kinda surprised me, too, but in a brief flash of wanting to showboat, instead of popping him center mass for the easy kill, I tried to snap at his gogs... and MISSED... he spun and lit my cocky butt UP...
I'm certainly not a god at stock class or anything, but I did play nothing but, for a year, maybe a year and a half... it's just really, really fun. forces you to play more w/your BRAIN and not just your trigger finger
