They make some decent barrels. The Progressive and Teardrop both shoot the same.

I suggest a CP. Everyone loves them because they rock so much.

The SP barrels arn't bad at all. The only difference between the prgressive and the teardrop is the milling. Other than that, they shoot the exact same.

Id simply stear clear of SP and get something else... simply because you can get something much better for the money. The Lapco bigshot comes to mind. Sure its loud but honestly the progressive and teardrop arent silent enough to really make a difference, I mean a gun shooting is a gun shooting in paintball as long as you can hear it.

I think SP makes some of the best barrels on the market. I would safely say you won't have any trouble with them and they do shoot great.

You shouldn't buy SP for the sake that there are better barrels out there for the $ and just because it's SP. I wasn't too happy when SP went around suing other companies but I figure hey that's business. Then recently they forced the end to the Viking and X Mag, both amazing guns. This has pushed me over the line into boycotting SP.

I bought the Progressive barrel for my A5. (1) its was inexpensive $30 or so. It looked almost identical to a Teardrop outside of the porting. It improved my accuracy over the stock barrel by 50% of my shots. Slight change in distance over stock barrel when compared with a fresh C02 tank and set at 275fpm. No chops with either premium or cheap balls.
I havent tried a Teardrop so cant give you a comparison
the ONLY smart parts barrel that should EVER be purchased is the progressive. Its $30, good deal, decent barrel. Here is why the others suck:
Teardrop: SAME thing as prgoressive but more expensive and harder to clean
All American: Same thing as prgoressive (cut in half and threaded, same performance) but WAY MORE EXPENSIVE, does look cool though. And sometimes the barrels will get screwed up from screwing them togather and taking apart alot.
Freak: Flimsy inserts that break and it also has the same unscrewing probelm as the all american, way to expensive when u can get evil pipe for same price and its soo much better (evil pipes only weakness if flimsy front, be careful with it)
Freak Junior: Same problems as the freak
