View Full Version : How many people do you eliminate?
About how many people do you eliminate in about 4 hour of paintball(like 7 games or however many your field does at openplay)? I usually shoot about 6 people and get shot 3 times, but i'm still new at paintball(7 months).

well in 7 hours, or 4 games, i usually shoot 4-6 people, and i rarely get hit(luck? i guess so)I only got shot in the first game i played which was a little over a year ago. I have a stingray, and my friends have tippys, and me and whoever my "team leader" is develop a good plan, and it usually works. i usually get half of the kills, and my teammate gets the other half. I usually play with 4-6 people out in the woods. When i get my tippmann, full auto kit, powerfeed hopper, and whatever barrel i'm gonna get, i'm sure the numbers will go up :D

Well when I play with my friends (8-10 people on a team in the woods on a nice sized speedball course) I get about 2 eliminations a game and I rarely get hit (luck probably), maybe 3 times in a day. That's about the average.

you kill people when you play? don't you ever run out of people to play with?
i usually eliminate about 1-2 people per game, it really depends, but that is about the average for a day of play.

Yah, u kill ppl? thats some crazy pball
Anywhere from 5-10 depending on how good of a day im having and on the oponite. I usually get eliminated 2-5 times depending on both how good im doing that day and who im playing.

Well, if you considered a +/- (a + for every person I shoot, and a - for every time I get shot) I usually end a day in the positive side.
However, I do get shot quite a bit. It's been my experience that the people who NEVER get shot, are usually hiding in the back. I prefer to charge up the field, get one or two people if I can, then usually end up getting tagged. At least I help clear the way for my teammates.

Hehe, I can see Mike at the field now
"Everyone who doesnt see me <wink Wink> and gets shot by me get's a free 20 dollar gift certificate for paintball gear at countypaintball.com. Just send a message with the title 'I got shot by Mike from county' and you will receive your gift certificate".
And people wonder how he goes into a game with a ten round tube and eliminates 11 people :)
And I'm only kidding bro :)

I average about 4 eliminations a game with 10 or more players to a side. I usually get shot every game because i am very agressive.

probly any where between 1-6 eliminations per game at the field i play at.
it depends on how many people play, how tired i am, how aggressive i'm feeling.
but i'd say on avg i'd have 26 eliminations in a 10-game day.
tagging 2 people is good, if every body on a team gets 2 people out, that just whopoped on the other team.
i'd say i get eliminated 3 or 4 times out of those 10 games.(gotta work on that part)

I usually get anywhere between 1-4 eliminations per game. It is hard to tell how many times I get shot on average because some games I never get shot despite my aggressiveness and other days I get shot in almost every game.

Well in woodsall I get about 15 kills in 4 hours of play (most games I play are with 10 man teams)
In recball with bunkers and scheizen I usually get about the same, maybe a little less.
In speedball I can get about 10 in 4 hours of play, I don't normally play SB, so I'm not as good as it.....
I think I'll give credit to my woodsball skill to the fact that I am a master(bater) in the art of camouflage and being stealthy......
Recball is what I've mainly been playing for the 2 years that I've been playing, so That's probably why I'm good at it....... and Speedball isn't very fun for me cause all the speedball fields around here suck, so I try to aviod them......... But yeah I usually get hit once for every 3 people I hit.......

It depends on what mood I'm in, when I'm relaxed I do alot better then when I'm tense. Like when I go indoor maybe 6-8 and get hit like twice.

BOTTOMLINE,

If all you guys are telling the truth, then where are all the guys who get hit without shooting anybody? Now I'm not pointing any fingers, but I think SOME people are exaggerating.
Plenty of games, I get shot before I get anyone out. Most of the time, I end up on the positive side, but not like +15 as some of you are claiming.
If you are all telling the truth, then you need to play somewhere with better competition to improve your game further. Stop bashing newbies. :)

Last time I played I went with a big group of frineds, some of them were on their 1st or 2nd time paintballing ever, and of course they were like
"Yeah, I've got about...8 kills now...no wait, 9..." after the 2nd game  but anyway, if it makes them feel bigger...
That day I got about 11 eliminations after 9 games, and was eliminated twice, and generally I get eliminated a little bit more often, but I always finish with more eliminations than number of times being eliminated.

I personally find the level of play to be fairly low at most recball games. I don't keep track of how many people I get, sometimes you run into a higher level player and you can enjoy trading paint with him for most of the game. Tournament ball is an entirely different proposition, how many players I get is directly related to how well my back player covers me. About half the games in a recent 3 man tourney I eliminated 2 of 3, but only because my back guy covered me and let me take a position that I could hit em from. I'm not entirely convinced how many people you eliminate is a sign of skill either. Like I said, without a good back player to cover me, I'd probably get 0
To Mike from County: I think all of the people that get hit more than they shoot people are probably the ones that aren't obsessed enough with paintball to be on message boards:). I know a lot of people like that.

Yeah i do kill people while i play pball  i'm starting to run low on people to play in my county. does anyone want to play me,lol... Some people might not be exaggerating because they might just play against people that suck and never get shot. i only got shot in my first game, and i haven't been shot since because when i lose it's only cuz i ran outta pballs. i picked the right teammate to have and when him and me are on a team, we never lose.

I have had my good days of where I once got 15 (filled with n00bs). Then my bad days when I get like 0-1. But usually ill get like 6-8 or so. Usually my playing time is for like 4-5 hours.

Right here. Heh, out of the three days I've been rec-balling, including an 8 game excursion at a woods outdoor field, I KNOW I eliminated uh... one? I think I got one at an indoor field the first time, he didn't see me and I popped one off and he looked down at it and called himself out. I really don't remember if anyone else was firing at that time, but I'm pretty sure it was me. The outdoor field where I played 8 long games... I got nailed like 6 of those games. When I got hit, 4 times I was *trying* to move up to a bunker that was farther up because everyone else was too wussy, and I wasn't doing anything in the bunker I was in.
In my defense though, I only got hit by rental paint once. (I was renting too) Meaning yeah, I had a rental piranha with generic paint and one days play under my belt, and I was on the same field with guys shooting autocockers, bushys and angels shooting all-star or marbs. I really doubt they had the same experience level I had. But still, I had way more fun than in that indoor place (too dark).
The only person I KNOW I hit with a paintball is my buddy who I went out with in the forest and played one on one for several hours. That was easily the most fun I've ever had, because it was with someone that was on the same level as me. I hit him a few times, and he hit me a few times...probably more than I hit him. But I'm learning, and soon maybe I'll start doing better. I'm trying to get a pump so that I can play more often and learn quicker from being at a "disadvantage" We'll see how that works out. :)

I'm just curious...how do you guys know you are eliminating these people? Just asking because when I watched some tourney players practice they weren't exactly watching their shots land, they were tucked in a split second after they got that last shot off. So... are you guys watching your shots land? :eyes:
hehe, just TRYING to draw flames I guess, I'm not experienced enough to criticize anyone.

Well in woods i'm usually about 3:1 elims vs hits on me. I don't play speedball too much...but it's usually about the same. I get hit a lot but I shoot a lot also. I usuaslly end up running and tagging a few before I'm taken out. Woods ball elims are usually log shots where I can't see the person. And I forget who said this above but I get hit in the gun and or pack more than I get body hits...and it's wierd b/c i play my gun really really tight all the time even when i'm running...???
****ing sunday I was playing up at skirmish and I took a hit in the pack and it musta broke a ball or 2 that I didnt' notice...well boy was I ****ed when I used that pod.

Believe me you know when you hit someone or you know if you think you hit someone(paintcheck). Tourny players know when the hit someone most of the time too, I know for a fact because sometimes i play with some people from Team Energy(they beat aftershock at the world cup last week) and they can tell me how many people they eliminated in a game.

I get 1-3 a game.. sometimes more.. My field has these dope tunnels that span the whole field and usually once or twice a day me and the 5 freinds i go with go in the tunnels.. We go all the way to the back and usually there isnt anyone guarding the tunnel exit.. The tunnel ends in a big bunker so we can all fit and wait till everyone is out.. When everyone is ready we bust outta there guns blazzing and we usually get their whole team... Those are the times I cherish.. Getting 4 or 5 people in like 30 seconds.. If we dont get them then they go to the other side of their bunker and get screwed up by the other half of our team..
If we dont do that I play front and usually get 2 before im out.(unless they wipe,,,, like many people have started doing at my field  )

I'm an inconsistent player. Some days I'll just destroy everyone...
in 7 hours of play I will get anywhere from 20 tags to maybe a measly 2 or 3. I suck at woods play, so I stay away from that. I like the speedball stuff, 90% of the time I can tag a dood off teh start line...sometimes 2 if they're slow runners.
Last time I went (2 weeks ago) I tagged around 14 people...that's probably a little above my average.
it also depends on the calibur player your going up against.
