Ok, here's the deal:
I want to get a new marker this June but i need a few other things (aside from saving for a car)) so I have decided to go for a BKO for the following reasons:
1) Price- a good electro-pnuematic for under $300!?
2) I like the feel of shooting it.
3) Looks good, shoots better
So anyway, I plan on ordering it and ordering a few things at the same time. These incluse a Centerflag 68/4500 with Dye Cover, a CP 2 piece, CP Rail with CP on/off ASA, and a parts kit and other such maintenance items.
Now I have a few questions:
1)With the HPA tank, Do i want a LP out put tank, or a HP output one?
**I know the reg would handle the output of HP tank, but is there an advantage to the LP tank?
2)Are there any other upgrades that I should consider buying WITH the gun from the start to ensure good performance? or can i just wait awhile to upgrade anything else?
Thanks, I may have more questions so bare with me, I'm an ICD newb

There is obsolutly no advantage to LP. LP will simply lower your recharge rate and limit what gun you can can use your tank on.

I can't tell you for sure yet. I will let you know after I have had time to fiddle with my stock BKO and see how well it operates.
Also, if you want your gun by June. I would order it now. I personnally had a terrible experience getting my gun, and it ended takes over 3 months :/

First off, welcome to the family.
Second, the vapor valve, zenitram valve, and red valve all perform the same. The vapor, however, has a no leak guarnatee.
Third, the CP reg, IMHO, is the best reg on the market.
Read over the FAQs, they have a lot of info in them that may help you out.

The 04 BKO FAQ will really help you out.

When I bought my BKO, one of my main problems was with chopping. You can prevent chopping by getting the SP mod(found at www.shootpaint.com) the DAM mod(contact them via e-mail) the blind bolt(has not come out yet, but will be found at www.pbgear.com), or PDS(you need to send your marker to ICD).
I personally think that the sidewinder is the best HPR out there, but for the price of the CP HPR it is the best.
Hope this helped and welcome to the ICD family.

Listen to what infusion said aboot the tanks.
About the upgrades. According to many, the BKO is fine stock, but there is room for improvement. You probably wouldnt HAVE to get anything at first, but once you start upgrading, you may want to look into HPR, LPR, and a valva for consitancy, and maybe a chaos or techpro board for spead. Remember though, no matter what board you have on your gun, the BKO is physically limited to 18bps.
CP is a great HPR, especially for the price.
Valves are basically the same like Imp said, and so are LPR's except if you get a cocker style LPR, you need an adapter.
Heres a few sites that may help for once you decide to start upgrading:
www.shootpaint.com
www.tantrumpaintball.com
Also, look into the stickies, great stuff there.
Oh, and Welcome.

Check out the vapor bolt if you find yourself chopping unreasonalbly.

BigC you got caught in the middle of the switch over from the smooth milled body to the Extreme Milled body. This was the major hold up on yours. We actually have 3 of them in stock right now which is pretty wild considering we havent been able to keep BKO's in stock in the last year.

Just 2 things...
1. I agree a LPR tank would probably just be a waste of time, especially if you're updating your HPR right away anyway with the CP.
2. I would suggest the Mitey Max Volumizer. My BKO was a REAL gas hog (2003). I have a huge 88cu tank now that takes forever to empty out, but the Volumizer really helped quite a bit for the little money it costs.

The new 04 Bko's dont use volumizers any more, they replaced it with just lpr's under the barrel.
And not that I really know you, but where have you been, lol.

LOL...
...yeah, I've been away from this forum for a while. Hmm, should I be mad I have a 2003, or be glad because I can use a volumizer really easily? Hmmm.....
