Not a flatline, anything but that.

I'm in the same boat... stock 98 Custom, looking to start with a barrel upgrade. I have been looking at the J&J Ceramic barrel or the Armson Stealth, but I haven't decided completely. I'm also not interested in the flatline.
It seems boomsticks are popular, but I don't really know why yet... I have also read that the stock Model 98 barrel is actually pretty good if you polish the inside of it, I might try that first...

I'd say get a bigshot
works good with wal-mart paint visible impact, super swirl and even BE (yuck)

Just got a Dye SS 12" for my 98. It is the most accurate sniper barrel I've ever shot, it pretty quiet and I get a bit more distance. It's a little heavey, but it acctually leveled out my gun out because of the 20oz tank on the back.

I have some 6 month old BE paint and i fired a few balls today,
I was standing out side in front of my shed and i start shooting at it one ball hit dead center when I used the sight to aim and the others flew pretty straight as well distance was around 40-50ft.
I find this to be amazing because i have used some fresh BE paint once and it did 90 degree turns after a flying couple feet.
Very strange indeed.
oh btw buy your barrel from mike at countypaintball.com he has the BS for the lowest price that I've seen
