Has anyone else noticed how a lack of a triggerguard on some makers is becoming more popular. I have seen alot of mags adn 98s where people have removed the trigger guards for cosmetic looks or possibly comfort. I have to say i dont really support this alteration to the marker becasue it makes it less safe and it just isnt smart. i was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and whats your opinion of no triggerguards.

My homefield requires a trigger guard for obvious reasons.

Most fields require you to have a trigger guard, i really don't care if its there or not, doesnt effect my shooting.

Usually on m98's if the trigger guard is missing, it's cause they put on a double trigger and the stock trigger guard doesn't fit that.

Frankly, I love the hell of out my trigger guard. I need it to hook my finger around while running so I don't tap the trigger at all.

It doesn't take much of a brush to fire a round on microswitch triggers.

If anything, trigger guards make MORE sense than ever.

Double trigger kits come with a new trigger guard for the double trigger, on my friends tippy we just had to dremel his grip a little bit for the bottom of it to get to the metal of the frame were it needed to be. But unless they're stupid they should have it on there.

some ppl don't buy the trigger kit, they just get a double trigger by itself prolly cause its cheaper.

Trigger guards are also required for tournys.

And most people don't bother sanding to fit the trigger guard.

Why do you need a trigger guard.. whats so important about them?

To keep the gun from firing. Like if you hit it by accident, bump into it, drop it, etc. This especially pertains to electros.

What he said ^^^^
and personaly I think not haveing a trigger gaurd is ugly. I think most Tippman owners take them off when they buy a double trigger and are to lazy to put a hole in the grips so they just leave the gaurd off.

agreed, on most other guns i havent seen this happening

i also think it looks pretty ugly without it, and I use my trigger guard as a snatch grip so I coudlnt live without it. Not to mention i'd be shooting like crazy if I held my trigger while the gun was on

on a side note, the mags you are referring to are generally the older 68mags that ran with trigger guards, why I'm not sure but all newer ones i've seen have them

and yes they are required at most fields and all tourneys.
