I am also just starting on a 3-man tournament team and I am not really sure what to do. Our team captain has an Angel LCD and has been in tournaments before so he can teach us some things but otherwise I am completely lost on what to do at a tournament. I am not sure of my position yet but since it is a 3-man I will probably be one of the two front people and then our captain will be in the back with his Angel. Does the strategy depend totally on the field or are there any strategies that seem to work on all fields?

I am the front man for my team also. The best advice I can give you is to walk the field to death. Look at every bunker, get in the bunker and look at your targets, look at what shots people have on you. From what you determine about the bunkers, pick the best bunker for each team mate to run to, and have predetermined areas they should cover. Also have your tape guys cross it up and shoot across the field at angles, not in front of them. As for the center position (and all others) get as much of the field as possible. If you can run to the 50 without getting hit, do it! I think the best thing is to have at least one of your tape guys (the one that can shoot the fastest) try to hit the opposing team off the break while they are running to their bunkers while also covering you so you can make it to your bunker. You shouldn't shoot off the break. The center's main goal in the first 10 seconds of the game is to get to his bunker. Sometimes you'll get hit off the break, and, well, that is how it goes sometimes. that's about it along with the common sense stuff:
1. Try not to shoot over the top of bunkers
2. don't hang out to long, snap shoot
3. COMMUNICATE
4. don't be afraid to move and bunker people
5. Play like you never have before
6. shake the other team's hands, whether you win or lose ;)

I'm also a front player. Some tips are:
1. at the break, HAUL @$&. Get up as far as you can, slide into your bunkre and start drawing fire.
2. Snapshoot. YOu won't have teh time to be able to sit there and shoot long strings of shots. You have to snap shoot, and slowly take the advantage.
3. Move. You are the front player, and you need to advance. Like Painbtlal monkey sed, don't be afraid to move. As a front player, you need to make crucial moves in order for your team to have the upper hand.
4. SHoot from the sides of the bunkres, not over the top. WHen you shoot out of hte sides of the bunkers, you expose alot less of yourself.
5. Communicate. Without good comunication between teammates, you are almost guaranteed to fall apart.
6. be a good sport. You're a front player. sometimes you get caught in shooting lanes, sometimes you make it. Being a front player demands alot of stamina and effort, with a little bit of luck.

I cant wiat, i love being the guy thats in the middle of everything and bunkering and getting shot to piss and shooting like hell. Only problem is i thik my barrel is too long for a front barel, its a 16 inch boomstick. I think i need a hotrter barrel. Ne suggestions? iwas thinking about a 12 inch bigshot. Because the place i play at has team colors at the field, and becsue i think the lapco would be good for speedball. Ne suggestions.

I did all of that last week and I am first reading this today.
I slid past a bunker and got the kid from 3 feet BOOH YAAA
I am not affraid to slide and run down the middle.
I love it thats why I play.
We only have 1 speed ball field I am thinking about buying some land and use a fence as a bunker like at the field I go to.
cuz its cheaper if I use wood that sup air/. that's like $300 a bunker.
Oh and I am not going to buy the land alone a few peeps are going to chip in. :)
