And of course i forgot to ask the guy where or how he got it, so i was wandering if ne one knows where to find the plans on how to make these gun stands. any help would be great

Is this something like what you were looking at? I saw this one at a local tournament last weekend. I didn't get any measurments, but the number of elbows and 45's will determine the width and you can lay your marker in there and determine what length is best for you. Then, its just a matter of how tall you want it to be. Looks pretty easy to build. This one holds 6 markers.
Materials:
34 - 3/4" Elbows
10 - 3/4" 45's
8 - 3/4" T's
and an undetermined length of 3/4" PVC pipe.
This was the first one that I have ever seen so I took a picture of it....

dgreenh, Did ya get a chance to see it with markers on it? I'd be curious as to how well (secure) they were? Would they sit, or hang upside down? The base on it looks wide enuff to keep from tipping over, did it look sturdy to you? And last question did the guy put it together there, or was it already assembled and he pulled out of his vehicle?

I did see it with markers in it and it appeared pretty sturdy. It wouldn't tip over without delebrate help in my opinion.
The barrels layed in the top notches and the back of the markers (beaver tail area) in the bottom notches. The tanks were hanging down below so the markers sat in there upright. They had Autocockers and Angels in it.
The unit was assembled when I noticed it. I didn't look that close, but it looked like all the joints were glued. I don't think it would be much of a problem to make it come apart and still be a sturdy unit when assembled.
