Me and two friends have decided to form a paintball team, now we just need an estimate of how much it will cost, we have some idea but dont want to forget anything either . Two of us have markers (a spyder and a 98) the other one will need to get one(he's played, it was just never cost effective for him). Instead of pissing money away on paint for target practice we were thinking of those T-Balls, but that still leaves a lot to be covered in terms of costs. Any and all help is appreciated.

Edit: Yes i know that there is a post right below this one that talks about costs, but thats a long term one, I am talking about right off the start, like chrono's, etc.

Your looking at well over a thousand.

Let me know how much it comes to, I'm curious

no not all out, yet, but we need to make a list of things we need asap, but we do need to outfit ourselves with the essentials. The chrono, i was thinking more like the hand held, but it was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Where are you going to be practicing? If at a field, you can just use their chronos. Otherwise thats like $60-80 depending where you get it, we got ours off Ebay for $65 shipped if I remember right.

I'd strongly suggest against the tballs, just use seconds for a cheaper practice paint.

Do you guys have harnesses? If not, you will definately need those unless you decide to enter hopper ball tourneys (which are rather rare). We found our ronin 5packs, the most comfortable harness I've ever worn, for $40ish a while ago, dont remember where tho, do some shopping you will find cheaper places.

Also, if your team members dont all own gear you might consider playing a bit more (aside from practice, just playing anytime) before entering a tournament.

Lastly, for buying gear try to find sites online that are A) OUT OF YOUR STATE! There is no tax if you buy from another state most people don't know this and B) Many sites offer free shipping on orders over $X amount, usually $100 or $200 so depending on what you are buying, combined with no tax can save you ALOT of cash.

Hope I helped.
