Hello all, I'm new here and just wanted to ask a quick question. I'm thinking about getting the Tippmann Nitrogen/High Pressure Kit and I was wondering how it will work with CO2. I'm using CO2 right now and I just don't want to have to spend all the money for the new tanks right now. Also when I do switch off of CO2 what you be the best to switch to, Nitro, Compressed air, or what?

What Tippmann marker are you referring to? A-5 or M98(c)?

M98 C. But does it make a difference? Same basic thing of using CO2 with a PH system.

There is no High Pressure Kit for the Model 98, I'm assuming you mean Low Pressure Kit. I beleive you don't need it for C02 because it won't really improve performance all that much. A good regulator, like a Palmers Stabilizer, is probably your best bet if you're worried about that, or an expansion chamber/Anti-Syphoning your tank.
The ONLY thing you can switch to from C02 is HPA (high pressure air), Nitro and HPA are the same thing. Fields used to have Nitrogen to fill thier tanks and others had just regular old air. The difference wasn't overly evident and HPA was cheaper so you won't find Nitro at too many places anymore. Although HPA tanks can hold nitro and HPA.
The name N2 tank just stuck, but they are the same.
Good luck and for more info check "The Ultimate Sticky" at the top of the page in this forum and look at some of the reveiws on the Low Pressure Kit since that's what I think you're referring to.

thanks for the reply. Yeah, I mean Low Pressure Kit. The review called it high pressure kit http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/554/ but it's to make your gun run at low pressure.
I know I won't gain any extra performance using CO2 with the LPK but will it work ok? I don't want to lose performance. I'm just trying to convert to HPA without having to spend all the money at once.
So would you suggest me getting the tank and running my current system (I have an expansion chamber but no regulator) on HPA until I get the LPK or getting the LPK and running on CO2 until I get a tank?

You CAN use HPA but you won't get much more efficiency than you would with C02. The internals weren't specifically designed for HPA.
If you want I'd recommend getting the HPA first, then the LPK. You will have to get both though, no way around that to maximize the performance.
You'll eventually need both but, if anything, go with HPA then the LPK. Then again I'm not an expert on the Model 98.
Yakitori or Coenen or Turambar would know this better.
And off the record, I can niether confirm or deny Turambar being crusty. (if you have to ask you didn't see yesterday's post by Skyliner)

You can do either and it will work fine.
I'd recommend just getting the HPA and not the LPK. Or if you still want the LPK, making your own.

You don't need to do anything to just use HPA. Just get a tank and use it in place of CO2. The LP Kit is intended to get better efficiency from the 98. You will need the kit plus a regulator to operate at low(~300 psig) pressures.
