I am stumped...

I am stumped, after reading reviews, trying them out and looking at them over and over again, i just cant figure out which paintball gun to get! I play back... if that helps any... I would be buying them stock, lemme know which is the best deal/ best gun...

Here is what i am looking at:

--Strange Impulse (have fired)

--'03 Shocker w/ vision (have fired)

--Dye Matrix LCD (have fired)

--Angel Ir3 (have only held)

then id prolly pick the imp.

Matrix. It is one of the top guns in paintball today. Low maintenance, made by a reputable company (DYE), accurate, fast and just plain amazing.

The Strange Impulse is good, but you can get something cheaper that does what you want.

The Shocker is expensive. You can get something cheaper that does what you want.

The Matrix is what I would go with. Excellent quality for a (mildly) decent price.

The Angel IR3 is very nice, but it is an Angel. Expensive. The Strange Impulse is about the same quality (while being a few hundred less).

A Normal Impulse Vision is just about tied with the Matrix. If you are tight on money, get an Impulse instead of the Matrix. You might consider this option.

Id personaly go for the Angel, But i have shot a Matrix and they are awesome, no kick whatsoever. So i tihnk the matrix would be an awesome gun for you.

Personaly I would go with a Shocker over the matrix with out a doubt. The shocker is much lighter, I think better looking, much quicker pointing. Both the matrix and the shocker have almost no recoil which allows you to keep "on target" better them any other guns out. The shocker comes out of the box with a much better barrel, and for a very small amout of money you can make it a freak barrel (only have to buy the back- not the whole barrel)

Most important to me-- the Shocker is a star rising, while the Dye matrix is the red headed step child to the DM4. Ofcourse you are going to have a devote group that will try to keep the matris "alive", but about everyone knows that the dye matrix was only a "place holder' until DYE could get out the DM4s-- and all devlopment work is directed toward the DM4.

If you go with an Impulse, I personaly wouldn't get the Strange. nice gun, but over priced. The way to go with an Impulse is to get a custome Impulse with an equalizer board. You can buy a gun from the get go with the EQ board in it (Rats) or if you like the milling better on a Nasty, get the Nasty and buy the board seperatly.

As for the Angel-- well I'd say get a gun with an EYE, and ofcourse the best eye made is the Equalizer board. If you want flash and the best possible eye, consider a timmy. If you like yellow and black, you can get into a timmy Dragon or Alien for around $1000.

hes right about the trix's, if ur gunna get one get the DM4 only way to go.
as for an impy go with the nasty get internals and just get a eq for it.
angel now has an eye but only on the newest versions and i dont think u can buy and eye for the older models.
Timmy r great guns lots come with an eq board in them, great guns harder them impys but r better guns
personally if i were u and had the money go with the DM4 or a timmy
