i think they are both about the same it is just durability, but im not all to sure

Get the aluminum because it is less wieght and they both perform about equally and the Lapco Bigshot Aluminum is 20$ less and it weighs less.

stainless steel lasts longer. after u use da aluminum for a long time, its gonna wear out. plus stainless steel is stronger and lasts longer.

I think it would take some serious paint consumption to wear down a barrel ..... don't get me wrong I think it could be done but I think it would take forever :)
