does the bolt hit the ball in all paintball guns?

I was reading on some site (g3 i think) that the guy made it so his bolt never touches the ball (on one of his nicer guns)

I think the foamie bolt on a Mag never touches the ball. There is a little nubbin of foam that hits it. I may be wrong.

Except for those bolts, or markers that dont have bolts, all markers always have a bolt hit the ball. Otherwise the ball can't be chambered and the breech can't be sealed

and what gun's don't have the bolts?

What's more to say? You physically cannot chamber a ball and you physically cannot seal off your breach unless the bolt pushes the ball forwards. The ICE Epic and Airstar Nova line of paintball guns don't have bolts

Well i'm not sure about the nova but the ice epic has a trap door that seals off the chamber, then the air is pushed through it. I have never tried one or seen one in person but I wouldn't mind playing with one for a day. Twitcho is right besides these guns though everything touches the ball (foamy is part of the bolt ...).
