I recently read a review of the Dragun TES written by Ivar Nelson. He stated that the SP Smart Valve would act as an extension to my ASA so a nitro tank could be screwed in. Is this true? Also would this smart valve perform the same function(on/off) on a 68ci/4500psi as a Co2 tank? Holla back.

A Smart Valve is a pin valve for a CO2 tank with an on/off. They also might make a ASA extender on/off called the Smart Valve but I'm not sure on the exact name of it. If you use one you should still put the reg on after it. Don't screw a bottle vertically into it. The gun is meant to run LP so the pressure into the gun would be too high. Those ASA extender on/off's are a waste of $ imo.

I seen a gun on Ebay last week with something that looked like the Smart Parts Smart Valve attached to it. The individual had the same exact tank I had(3A- 68/4500) attached to it. I also read IVAR's review and this component was a reccomendation for the TES. I really don't feel like buying a regulator and drop for a brand new gun. I'm not too much into upgrading. I tried moving the drop some but my tank still would not screw in. I then placed an oring on the tank and rescrewed it in but it still doesn't quite feel secure. I'm getting mixed signals; I had a proshop tell me i could get away with this then Smart parts sends me an email telling me it wouldn't work. I dunno. Wish I kept my Spyder Imagine.
