Oddly enough I have no idea how to clean the cyclone or do any maintenance other than the occasional oiling. Even with oiling I'm not sure of how often or how much it needs.

I did search an old thread I made as my previous S/N "Weaksauce" but I realized it never got answered lol. I tried doing the obvious and unscrewing the screw at the center of the paddles but I would twist and twist and twist (yes, the correct way) but to no avail.

So basically I'm stuck. I dont think it needs it but the center of the cyclone is looking groudy. I don't want it to ruin the performance of the cyclone.

Any help as how to take apart the cyclone or maintenance on it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Just unscrew everything :P . How hard can it really be? Can't be as hard as taking apart and putting together the valve (don't ask, I was bored), can it?

If it was really that easy I wouldn't be posting. I"m thinking there is a trick to it. A trick I don't know :(.

Thanx for the comment though.

:) I personally haven't done that before and I'm pretty sure you have your manual but in case this is all I can do for ya.

Yeah the manual just said to unscrew that top screw. The thing is no matter how much I loosen that screw it doesn't seem to want to come out.

Any ideas?

I'd think so but no idea. That's why I had to ask, just to be sure.

To clean it you should be able to just wipe it down with a wet paper towel. I'm not sure, though.

As long as there's no broken paint inside it you won't need to do anything to it.

I dunno if this will help or not, but when i had my A5, I would just take the cyclone off the gun, then buy some of that canned air stuff for cleaing out computers, etc (in like a wd40 can), and blow it out. If it was really dirty, I would just rinse it and then drop some lube in it. I suppose it may not sound kosher, but its a tippmann and should be able withstand everything! I never had any problems with my cyclone, so I can't imagine you would either. Good luck and I hope I've helped.

I never thought of approaching it that way. I'll try that out. Thanx.

I'm going to guess if you're turning the screw correctly there had to be a nut at the end that is turning with it. Hold the nut so it don't spin with the bolt and it should come right out. That seems to be the only possibility going through my mind. Good Luck

That actually makes sense. Can't beleive I didn't think of that :|. I"ll tinker with my marker and put all these ideas in motion.

Thanx alot guys.
