Well the old work horse tippman is finally having some problems after a few years.... when the gun is gassed up there is no problem, but during rapid fire the gun sometimes goes full auto, or doesnt even cock and you have to manually cock it, then it will be fine for a while, also co2 chunks are shooting out the side cocking slot.... the gun is also chopping paint like no other, we dont think its the paint, and its on a full tank of co2( this same problem happened on 2 different tanks), the velocity isnt too high either... any suggestions?

sounds to me like the air hose might be bad, or you have something blocking the flow of the tank. Take apart your marker and clean it, now check to make sure the steel hose line is still connected to the valve. Also, check the power tube to make sure that the velocity screw is still functioning. Check the drive spring for tension. If the spring seems real loose it might need to be replaced. If all else fails, send it to Tippmann. You might have deteriorated orings in the valve. Tippmann will replace those for free.

take ur gun apart and take a good look at all the parts. u might have some o rings falling apart in ur gun, and the co2 chucks are coming out because it's turing into liquid. u can solve that problem by getting a expansion chamber.:blah:

you may need a new sear or hammer

also replace the o-ring on the hammer and the bolt

well the co2 chunks coming out of the side cockin slot was solved by re tefloning the air hose into the valve.... the gun sometimes stutters tho or goes full auto still.... sometimes it doesnt even cock at all... we think its o rings in the valvle.... any ideas?

Take the valve apart and clean that sucker out. My old prolite use to do that to mea as well and it usually was just because there was some access crap in the valve area. Some cleanng and some oiling should make it good as new.

My tippman started do that just recentally so I took it apart and found that the pin that slides into the spring was bent. I think it was getting caught when it tried to recock itself. It would act like it was low on air but it wouldn't stop like it usually does when I'm out of air. I went out and got a new pin and have not had the problem since.

if its still going full auto then there's is a good chance that the sear is worn call 888 paintball and talk to the tech department and they will send it to you for free

Don't call 888paintball. It is your sear if it's going full auto. To be sure just go into a local shop and have them check it out. I'm almot certain it's you sear. Get a good sear, not a cheap one. There is such a thing. You might want to pick up a new spring while you're there, you might notice a difference.
