Hey, I need to clean of my HPR on my BKO.

There is the line in the middle where the reg (supposedly) unsrews into two halves. However, I'm having an extremely hard time gett this thing apart. Could I be doing something wrong here? Is there something I don't know? Like is it reverse threaded or does it come loctited or something.

This is very strange as me and my cousin have both been torquing on this thing with slide wrenches and the remains of broken grip wrench strap (used it a pading to I wouldn't scrratch that pretty 04 ano :D ). But neither of us can get this thing to budge. I'm planning on going out and buying to new grip wrenches tommorow, and try to hopefully get it apart that way.

But has anyone experienced something like this? Are have any suggestions? This is very strange...

Its possible that some lube got on the threads and dried up. White lithium grease turns to glue when its dries.

You could try heating it up, but remember, there is a delrin piston and orings in there.

I think you called it Impya.

Right after I posted that last night, me and my cousin both grabbed one side of the reg with a grip wrnch strap and some pliers. We both clamped down as hard as possible and just torquered on the thing hardcore. Finally we got it loose. When I unsrewed it I noticed the O-Ring was totally dried up, so I figure that's what was holding it together to tight. I lubed it up with some Dow 33 and it's all good now. :-D

Thanks anyways guys
