i am going to start going in some newbie tourneys with my freinds.I think im going to get at pirahna sts vf g3 with a small nitro tank, drop forward, barrel and a revy and go in some begginers tournaments. my freinds have a team and they go in tourneys and they said i could join there team. would that be a good begginers tourny set up?

I'd personally spend a little more and go electro. I really like that Kingman Flash for $269. It will last you as well as any Spyder, and it's electro. It's like a $300 Impulse that takes Spyder parts. As for the nitro tank, I'd go with a 68 ci 3000 psi tank. You're not gonna be shooting a whole lot of paint in beginner tourneys and unless you carry paint with you, you probably won't need any more than the 680 shots or so a 68 will give you.

I wish i lived in the states because the cheapest i could get a spyder flash,47 ci 3000psi tank, and a 12v revolution for is like 730$ and i could get it for way cheeper therre!:pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

three words too much money
get an impulse. its electro and it works. you dont have to screw around with the pnunomics of the cocker (its hard to keep up because you have to get it timed every once in a while) impulse all you need is a 9v battery and a wall charger and you're good for the day!

Impulse or the Spyder Flash. Cocker maintenance is usually a bit too baffling for newbies, the impulse and flash are electric and shoot very nicely. Timmy's are really nice, but they cost too much.

get an impulse because spyder electros are nothing compaired to them. if you have the money GO FOR IT! dont make the mistake i made by getting low end guns!

What about a mag? Mags are fairly cheap and pretty upgradeable. Plus no pesky timing like with an 'cocker.

Hi:
IS a electronic gun expensive to repair. Thinking about getting an impulse.
Someone told me electronic guns break down more easier than mechnical guns and that the replacement parts are more expensive.
Thanks for your time guys

Um...ok...let's clear some things up...cockers don't break down by themselves....it always starts with someone screwing with something...lol...you all know it's true. But since they are completely mechanical they are easy to fix on your own. And who has their cocker timed...time it yourself! It's not like it's that hard...4 things to set...and all they invlove are twisting rods or screws...lol...pretty simple when you think about it.
I don't really think electros break down a whole lot...unless you get a bad one. Although you can't fix a fried board now can you? Well I know there's probably someone on here that can...but we're not all electrical engineers ok. The imp is a good gun though...ugly trigger...but otherwise...a good gun and a great first electro. I wouldn't even conisder a flash next to an impy...that's just absurd...unless you are really strapped for cash....and I mean really strapped!
I would put it between a cocker, impy, maybe a mag

dont get the boo yaah. the gun cant feed fast enough and it alyways chops (even with a 12 volt revvy) and its still not as accurate as a mag or cocker
i say get the mag or cocker

Get a Cocker. It shoots fast, is more accurate and has the best range of any gun Ive ever seen :drop: . Its a lot more upgradeable and has better performance than the mag. You have to upgrade the mag a lot to make it as good as a Cocker  . Also all the crap about it being hard to time it, thats not true :pissed: , all you have to do is read the directions on how to do it and it tells you how to do it... easily .

If you don't plan on playing speedball, get a Sterling.
 :eyes:
Yes, I said a Sterling. A pump. Extreamly accurate, no need to upgrad (short of a ported barrel if you want to quite it), and it's great for the looks you get when you take out that high end semi with 1 well placed shot. :D
However, if you are looking for a Semi, just how far up the food chain do you want to go? If you think you'll try to go all the way, get a Cocker. They ARE reliable (unless you tinker with them too much), extreamly upgradable (everything can be upgraded), accurate, and long ranged.
If you don't think you'll ever go that far, then the Spyder isn't a bad choice. Upgradable, dependable, overall not a bad marker. Not as accurate however, and will never reach the same levels that a Cocker can. (though I know a few people that still use a spyders all but stock (barrel replacement) for their backup guns).
Dudes, Its a newbie tourny, Get something simple not cockers, mags etc. Newbies don't know how to use the guns to there advantage so you'll be alright.
