At this link below is the description and reviews of a spyder marker.

This marker has an expansion chamber and a regulator. WHY? I thought that having an expansion chamber after the regulator defeats the purpose of having a regulator, doesn't it?

Kingman is a good company, why would they do something like this?

yes it makes no sense, but they did it...

The x-chamber is supposed to really be just a gas through grip it is so bad, and the reg. isn't really that good either (supposedly), that is why when people upgrade there spyders they don't buy the kingman regulator and x-chamber upgrades.

I own a Shutter and I'll tell you the exp chamber is small but it does the job. The reg helps too. I have never had CO2 freeze up while I ran Co2.

i took my bro Xtra apart and i can tell you it is NOT a x chamber it is just a gas through grip. (he was replacing the hose and i looked through the grip and it was just a gas through fore grip)

Seems like an X-chamber after a reg would still allow a regulated pressure. There would just be more of it, and would take much longer for the reg to recharge fully.
