the palmers fatty stabilizer is definately a LP stabilizer... your tippmann a-5 is an HP gun...

they will not work together... i would still recommend a normal stabilizer for normal setup and LP setup.

I've seen LP kits for the A5 but you need to have a LP nitro tank with a reg on it to make it work. Its 120 bucks on county paintball and comes with absolutely everything youd need to get it set up, from the fittings to new bolts and valves. Just a matter if you want a LP setup (it looks pretty cool when its all set up too)

The fatty's max operating pressure is 400 psi

another bs post.

it is not recommended that you use an LP tank for an LP setup on a tippmann a-5... you want an HP tank

My mistake for not adding that I am running C02. I ordered the Palmer Male stabilizer, 90 elbow and a 9" braided steel line and a Bob Long 0-1200psi gauge. Should be here by thursday.

Thanks

wait a sec, im a little confused, i read that you need the LP tank for it to work, but I guess that it just works like a converter from the HP tank

even though it doesnt matter now, since he has CO2 and now has the male stab. That is a good choice. I agree.

You dont need a LP nitro tank because it only outputs 400psi max, and that is the upper range of the tippmann LP kits. And the reason it is recommended to get a HP nitro tank w/ the LP kit is to ensure consistent pressure and keep from getting shoot down or drop off. Since w/ the LP kits you will need a secondary reg anyway, you adjust your secondary reg to 350-400psi or so, and run the tank at 800psi. Most of the time it is still recommended that you use a HP tank on a LP gun.

you can down regulate the air, but you cant upregulate it.
