This is a very annoying problem. For some reason the rear bolt will not fully cock back after auto fire.... The only solution that I have discovered is to just pull back on the bolt to re-cock.

The weird thing is that when the problem occurs the bolt looks like it is already cocked.

Its no big deal. but it is annoying when you peak out to shoot and your gun doesn't fire...

My question is, Is there anything I can do to eliminate this problem?

Get your tank re-filled

Also, what exactly do you mean by auto fire?

ps: Its response trigger, not trigger response

I'll bet you $20 that its a ball getting stuck between the bolt and the body of the gun.

I want my $20 please :P

Me too!!! I have pictures of mine doing it. Supposedly, a really fast hopper(Halo B Evo2) will fix it. My valve screws keep comming out even after using red loctite, so I sent my marker to Tippmann to fix that and the RT/miscocking problem if possible. I also asked them if a faster hopper would solve the problem. I'll let you know the results when I get my marker back.

Thats most likely true. If by "auto fire" you meen holding the bolt forward and shooting, that isnt very wise to do. It turns you're gun into a paint shredder. Thats weird that the paintball is lodged in there and hasnt broke tho...

Everybody using an A-5 won't have a problem with the chopping :) . Anyways, there can be a series of problems. Pressure too low, too low of tank, be sure to use the replacement sear spring provided, if there is one (I believe there is).
