i dont live to far from WAP and was curious so i drove up there today, thought you all(who havent done the same) might be intrested in my observsavtions...

its super easy to get to,you can see a bit of the hyperball field
from 505 and if you take the road 14 exit , go over the overpass
and theres the field.

so that eliminates ALOT of crap to get to the field.

the lego field layout is perfect,it looks like a hot field to play(
yes i wanted to go play bymyself,i was drooling) it's just about a perfect mirror, the hyper and other fields are set back in a small valley and i couldent see much of em,

i was expecting more of a extreme style place, like drive up and see flatland surrounded by netting.but the fileds kinda set up
in a valley and around a small hill.

the things the owners need are deffinatly netting, and a shadded
area like extreme has,if any of you have ever been up 505 you know theres NO shade at all, like no trees nadda, and it gets hot as hell, and direct heat and compressed gasses dont mix well.

id say it looks like a great place to play in spring/fall when its not 115 degrees out.

also id say bring water and and food because i didnt see a store
or fast food or watever for miles (but there maybe somthing i didnt see)

and finally the ground itself, when the grass is green out there
and the dirt isnt as dry its great for sliding and falling and running around(i know ive done all of the above) but right now its dry and hardpack so bring knee/shin pads its harsh.

ok thats it cheers and see ya out there

Hey Splatterpunx,
Glad you were able to get up our way and check out our field.
Thanks for all the nice things you had to say.
Actually, the Lego field is a PERFECT mirror. At least according to my handy Craftsman tape.
We think you will also like our Hyperball field, it is also a PERFECT mirror, but the bunkers are more impressive.
We have purchase plenty of netting, which will be up soon. Some of which will be around our full sized SupAir field that will also be up on the 10th.
Shade is another thing. We had big awnings set up but the county came in and made us take them down, so we are going to have to figure out something before next summer.
We will have drinks availble at the field and the Zamora deli is only 4 miles away.
Also, Wendy's is 5 miles and Jack in the Box is 8 miles up the freeway. But the best deal is that the hunt club next door has their clubhouse kitchen open on the weekends and they serve up some killer grub at reasonable prices.
Lastly, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that all our tourny fields have been graded and are as smooth as a baby's behind. I would still wear my kneepads, but there's not ANY rocks on our fields.

We hope to see everyone out there on the 10th or 11th.

i was straining to get a look at the hyper field from the freeway
and the part i saw looked cool, but the lego field is calling me
im glad your gonna have netting,it will really benifit your field
because you have the advantage of being soooo easy to get to
so newbies can pop in to watch a game.

also do you guys have a compressor? are you gonna have 4500
fills or just 3000?

looks like your field is gonna be a hit

cheers

At this time we will only have co2 but hope in the future to have compressed air. You are more than welcome to bring your own scuba tanks.

I will bring some of my scuba tanks for whoever wants air, and doesn't have scuba tanks of their own. They only fill to 3000psi, but i'm sure that's enough for most of you.
Hope to see you all there this coming weekend!

Late!

no compressed air? wtf lol

Scuba Tank $125, if you buy 3 you can get them for $100 each at some places.im sure you spent plenty more on netting alone

These guys did an incredible job with their field! Lego and Hyperball was truly intense! The different types of fields (lego, hyper, hydro, sup air, rec) made for a different strategy every time. There is so much space that they can make more field scenario. They still have quite a bit of bugs to work out but they are working hard to improving it. They put a lot of effort putting it together and they are always looking and listening to their players for any suggestions. if you're tired of the same eucalyptus trees or just want to finally play in a Lego field, this is it! Their staff are nice and friendly too. They walked up to each person or group to make sure that everyone was having fun. Guess what girls? You play free with your own equip! Oh and for those who are old or too lazy to walk, they have a make shift trailer to hitch a ride to the next game.

I went to WAP on the 10th (opening day) and it was incredible.
All of my friends agree that this is the best field any of us have played on. The only thing that we could complain about is its location (we live in Walnut Creek, its a long drive) the prices are good the field is great (they even have a truck that takes you out to the fields on a flatbed trailer) All the fields are wonderfully laid out. I hope that everyone has the same opinion of the field as I do.

WAP was friggin' awesome. It was nice to finally play a game that had some action in it besides walking around in euculyptus trees looking for people. In my opinion, hyperball was the best field. Some guy went into one of the big pipes and got bunkered while he was in there!

Anyway, me, Spiderman, and Irreverent are going again on Dec 1. Hope to see people there. (And this time I'll bring my own screw driver so I don't have to borrow from the folks next to us.)
