ok.....well after some thought ...I decided to polish my striker....I started by taking off the o-ring and started sanding with 200 grit wet/dry paper....then 320...then 400...finally 600......
when I first started to polish it...I noticed what it was rough....kind of like had ridges....so I sanded until I took off the ridges and then keep using finer and finer sanding paper....until it was a shinny as chrome....I wased it off really well.....oiled it up and put it in.....lowered my psi by 25 easy.....
finally I got it running under 400 psi....
(don't know what will happen if you sand it too much....but I find that will be hard to do....seeing that the o-ring sits in a grove that doesn't change in size from sanding...and it is this o-ring that makes the seal....any other part of the striker that touches the walls of the marker will only cause drag....which in turn will make you need to run at a higher pressure...IMO)
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK....(my disclaimer...)
