Ive seen a couple online before,
If you play alot of night games like u said u do go for it man, ive also seen a tactical light, that mounts at the end of your barrel, you could probably get one of those and a red dot sight for about the same $.

Hope this helps

go to walmart. A-5 and 98 comes with the same kinda sight mount as a bb gun. Walmart sells laser sights for bb guns and you can use one of those.

I dont suggest getting paintball supplies at walmart, If you dont buy stuff online then go to a local paintshop and have them order you something walmart is not exactly a top notch quality paintball supplier. Plus local dealers will usually let u swap for somethin else if ur item craps out.

I found some sights where laser dot sights can be located if you purchase one from here make sure the mounts will fit your sight rail.

Crosman Laser Sight (http://www.shootnhunt.com/crosman_laser_sight.html)

Ive herd the crosman was pretty good

You might wanna check some reviews for the particular laser sight you want.

Oh and heres that barrel mounted tactical light mount i found a year or so ago

Here (http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/tacm/index.shtml)

I hope All that helped you on your search for nightime equipt

Whatever works is fine for me, if it came from Shocktech or Walmart. Laser pointers, IMO, are more cosmetic then effective. Paintballs do not have a straight trejectory. You are better off aiming down the barrel.

umm ur confusing a red dot with a laser site. A red dot projects a dot inside of the site that can only be seen as a faint light from the front end. You look in the back end and the light is not a laser. A laser site is one you put on ur barrel with a battery. It is a laser pointer and projects the laser onto what you point ur gun at. Red dot sites are good from adco for paintball. THese sites are small adn dont get blocked by the stock feedneck on a tippy. Good conteders are the ADCO sure shot and the ADCO hot shot. One is an enclosed site, the other is a tubeless reflex site. Do a search on google for these. I personally like to use the BSA optics red dot site but it takes some patience to tune it good and it required some sanding on the front rod that goes into your gun so i wouldnt reccomend it. I also got a lapco direct feed to give me a clear site picture since the BSA 30 mm is big and the stock feedneck gets in the way. It cost me a total of about 60 bucks plus some sanding on my site to get a perfectly functioning wide view site but i wouldnt reccomend it for most ppl. As for laser sites, im pretty sure theyre not too great for anything but cqb cuz they dont compensate for ball drop. Also, they blind ppl, they reveal your position if theres fog, dust or smoke in the air. I wouldnt get one. For night sighting, go for a red dot site and a really bright LED flashlight or night vision goggles.

Hope this clears things up.

around noon or earlier. its much to bright to see the dot of the laser outside. in indoor fields or durring night time play it may work. but my indoor field does not allow lasers because they can damage other players vision or blind them outright.

a red dot sight however, usually has adjustable brightness settings allowing you to see the red dot in all lighting conditions.

i dont know what kind of budget you got but if your marker has a .45 style grip (as most do) go to a gun shop and look for a rubber grip with built-in laser aimpoint.
