I just got my cocker, and I'm pretty dumb. I also can't afford a N2 tank unless its really cheap (excluding bulldogs). I've never heard of this anti-syphon stuff before, and I was wandering what it was. Is it an adapter, or is it actually part of the tank? ...and what does this thing actually do?

Its a tube that is installed into your tank, it makes it practically impossible to get liquid co2 in the gun. It would cost anywhere from $15-$35 to have it installed and you would have to have a proshop install it.

Looks exactly the same as any other Co2 tank on the outside. Inside its different with its little pipe.

here's a pic i drew a while back to show this other guy...

this is what i told him...

your co2 tank is pressured. so when you push the pin on the co2 tank something is sure to come out. I compare it to a 2 liter bottle. when you open a 2 liter either gas escapes or water does. usually gas because the 2 liter is upright.

on your marker, the co2 bottle isnt upright, so some liquid could come out (wich is bad because it causes inconsistency in velocities).

what the tube does is it is placed (specifically designed to fit your gun) so that the tupe faces the top.

are there any CO2 tanks that come w/ anti-sophon installed?

nope... like the only way you can get a co2 tank with anti-siphon installed is if u purchase it with your marker... some people on ebay and stuff sell tanks (alone) with anti-siphon tanks... you would need to take it to your local shop and get the antisiphon tube positioned specifically to your gun... this all has to do with the asa threading in your marker (where the co2 meets the gun)... say you get your friends anti-siphon tank, it can end up being YOUR siphon tank....

hope this helps a lil...
