I don't understand...maybe its because i've never seen a centerflag regulator or system at all..before. why is their flow rate so much more suitable for an impy than a crossfire..or my pmi pure energy tank? experts explain this...I'm gettin a new air system for christmas..and I wanna make sure I ask for the right one!

i own an 88/4500 centerflag 420 series hyperflow nitrogen tank on my impulse and i couldnt ask for better the reason why they suit imps so well, is that the max flow is a 4500 reg, thus the 4500 tank goes best. another reason, is centerflag are good tanks. they have very fast recharge rates and that is all the better for shooting fast strings . they reduce shootdown and they just kick ***

The pressure going intop the reg from a screw in tank is around 800 psi. And I'm pretty sure the Shocker/Impulse reg cant handle 4500 psi anyway. There is more than one kind of maxflo.
What he's asking is: why is a centerflag tank better than a crossfire? I have the same question. Also, crossfire tanks are supposed to have a fast recharge rate.
A tank that's putting out 800psi would have to have an extremely bad recharge rate to get shootdown with a Shocker or Impulse. Right?

as good as angel air, well to me that means that it must really suck! i know two people with airs and they have so many problems. if you are talking about a centerflag reg with the on off not the screw in one, ive got one and it is awesome. the are very consistangt and they flow way better than ANY screw in bottle ive seen, yes they are more expensive but it is also an adjustable whereas the pmi and xfire are preset.

the new crossfire 4500 preset is an animal at recharging. and if a person above said that the maxflow can't take 4500psi, they're right, but preset tanks go down to 850 psi.

Cool I didn't realize they were adjustable.

you can buy an adjustable tank or the preset, the preset is locked in at 850. if u were to put 4500psi into a gun, it's just blow.
I could go into one of my long tech disscussitions on this, but I bet that only about 1 in 10 every reading them when I do <G>
so just go with this-- the Center Flag simply flows more air. THis is not a problem on a STOCK Impulse, but it can be an issue with a a modifed Impulse running at very low pressures and it is defently an issue with Shockers and Tippman 98 RTs
In addition, we have had failures in crossfires (suddenly dunping 4500 psi into the gun) For the few dollars differrence (you most likly shot up more in paint in one day)-- why not just stick with the best?
