impy/shocker

me and my friend are opening a place to play paintball here in my large town of caldwell (about 2500 people), and we wanna upgrade guns. As most of you know i have the impy , that i finally got to work right, thanks to all you guys, (thanks) and he has a shutter with n2 on it, well we were thinkin shockers so we would all have smartparts gun, but would it even be worth it for me, to like sell mine and put in some more money to buy a shocker? thanks :D

It depends on what you plan to get by changing guns.

If you exspect to shoot faster, futher, quicker, point better, or use less air, the answer is a resounding "NO".

I can not tell you that there is ANY improvment in preformance by going to a Shocker. In fact I would suggest you shoot one a little before you even consider it. For me the Impulse points so much better it isn't funny. better pointing means better snap shooting (at lest in my book) The impulse can shoo much faster (as in balls per sec) the Impulse uses a lot less air.

The shocker will handle brittle paint better- but is more sentive to ball/barrel fit.

Do belive the old wives tale that the closed bolt gun shoot flater or futher or more accurate-- it just ain't so And I have been using a Shocker for 2 years!

well i really figured that the shocker woul dbe a bigger im provement but i guess not, well keep em comin guys

I'm sure you can find someone with a shocker out where you play. Even it only on the target range, try snap shooting a shocker. Granted, being a "forgien" gun to you , you would shoot better once you get used to it, but I realy think you will find it just isn't a "natural" pointing gun.

On the other hand, I wish I could put a Impulse with the I-frame and VFF in your hands. I honestly feel this is a better "pointing" gun then my angel. (yes sports fans, I have and use an angel too) And ofcouse if you play up front, there is simply no subitute for the EYE (Vision ACE system)

if ypou haent already you might consider posting tthis in the shocker forum too......its kinda one sided here........shockers are closed bolt like a cocker and from experience w/a cocker i can tell you it is very accurate. Also they dont break paint b/c of the extremly low presure and because of the filtering tube they are extremley consistent. Impys are cheaper and come with 2 finger trigger as well as being more compact and they can fire faster. Shocker in my opinion is for back players....which is great if you play back.....and an impuls is great if ya wana play front alot.
