How many different Electronic kits are there for model 98's? What are there differences? What do they come with? Does anybody have a pic of what they look like on the outside of the gun? How are the firing modes changed?

I can answer one part of the question. I believe that there are 3. The Tippmann E-bolt, and the Tippmann electronic trigger. I believe both were developed by Psycho Ballistics and Tippmann bought the rights to the design, so you may seem them both listed under both manufactures. The first is a full electro-pnuematic upgrade, and the other is just an electronic trigger that trips the stock mechanical setup. Both are right around $220 at County Paintball
Then, there is the Ballistic Sports electronic upgrade. I haven't heard too much about this one yet. In fact I only heard about it in this month's Paintball 2 Xtremes, and they only one paragraph on it with the usual promotional fluff.

The best of the bunch is the electo-pneumatic conversion. It's also known as the e-Bolt. Here's the link:

(The kit has changed slightly so the picture isn't an exact representation, but it's pretty close. They've made some improvements to the kit. I just haven't updated my photo yet.
There's also the E-Trigger, which just trips the sear electronically.
It's a little bit cheaper but doesn't do quite as much. Here's the link to that one:

The one from Ballistic Sports is basically a rip off of the original Psycho Ballistics kit. This guy worked for Psycho Ballistics, then basically stole their design to make his own kit and start his own company. He couldn't even come up with a unique name for his company. He practically stole that from PB as well. I would never sell that kit based on principals.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input Mike. I had been a little suspicious about the whole "Ballistic Sports" versus "Psycho Ballisitics" thing. I figured something had to be up. I didn't know it was started by a guy who worked for Psycho Ballistics. I just thought it was along the lines of any other company that's trying to exist off of mistaken name recognition. Similar to a Simpsons episode where Homer's looking at new T.V.s and Bart points out that they're all cheap Korean knockoffs, such as Sorny, Panaphonics, and Magnetbox. I love that show. :)
