Hi guys,

Quite new to the forum, and was wondering if you guys could help me out. I just recently bought a Impulse with a vertical regulator and wanted to know what kind of tank I need. The manual since that"it is highly recommended that you use a inline on/off valve to eliminate gassing and degassing problems." What is that supposed to mean? Do I Have to buy a HPA tank with a on/off valve? And if so, what kind? ANd also the manual also says that "For compressed air use it is required to use the max-flow regulator specifically designed to work on low pressure markers. DO you have to do put the max flow on?

Guys I really need yer help on what tank I need to use on my impulse. I would like to know what kind of tanks you guys use and if you have any problems. Please post back. Thanks a lot.

Well the smart parts manual is stupid so let's disregard it for now. Since you have a maxflo... *your vertical regulator* you can basically use any tank you want. Steel, carbon fiber... high pressure low pressure... doesn't matter use anything. If you use co2 however, make sure it is anti-siphoned otherwise you'll cook your solenoid and you don't want that because it cost you about $70 to replace. As for the on/off valve, i've never had to use one, they just use it as a precaution for spikes and stuff but that never happens unless you are extremely sloppy. I myself use a 68/4500 without a on/off and it's great. The manual sorta scares the crap out of everyone so basically disregard that part of it.

lol. Is your tank low pressure or high pressure? I heard people using High Pressure and they said it works good. Which one should I use?

it doesn't matter at alll because either one works. It's just that higher pressure tanks can be used by all guns.
