i'm not sure if this belongs in the general paintball section or not, but our newspaper came to the paintball field i play at and did a report on paintball :D. and its doesn't say anything bad about the sport either. so enjoy the article.

i like the "Paintball Pointers" they got there, although the mask pointer should be first, then barrel plug pointer, then ref pointer. good article overall :tup:. now if i can only see something like that in a local paper here.

one thing i noticed that was wrong was the speed of the paintballs. it said "270 mph" when it should be 270 fps. i think 270 fps is more like 190 mph.

"The mandatory face masks protect players from paintballs whizzing at you at an average of 270 miles per hour." maybe they meant the masks can withstand a paintball going that fast... which wouldn't be correct, either... :confused:

maybe they were looking at the chronograph and saw "270" and thought it was 270 mph. who knows.

A really good article, but did anyone bother to write the paper back and tell them that it was a good article and point out their small but oh so important mistake? I think it would be a good idea. Cause 300FPS=204MPH. 270MPH is cruising.

They ripped off the title "A Good Day To Dye" from the clip on Medal Of Honor : Frontline (at least I think moh had it first)

good stuff though :cool:

Did some research..lol...if you can call it that...and the formula for FPS->MPH is:
FPS/88x60=MPH
that or....
88FPS =60 Mph
.68(caliber of paintball lol)xFPS=MPH
^^^Coincidence...I think not....
