My friend recently purchased a m98 flatline and the plastic quality on it sucked. Like the back of it that covered the rear sight was almost bent back at a 25 degee angle. And the mold line on top was bent to the right. He got it new and never taken out of the box so i dont understand whats the deal. If ur gonna pay like 120dollars for a barrel it better be really really good.
Please reply to me about the quality of urs.

I don't have one but it sounds like your friend got jerked. I would call or send them a letter. (them as being whoever/wherever he got it from.)

Well if the shroud is that important to you call Tippmann or whoever and request either a new shroud or some kind of compensation.
Otherwise, the barrel will work just fine with no shroud at all. Not to mention people will notice it more and it will be easier to put on and take off and clean and whatnot.

The shroud on every 98c flatline is cheap and plasticy, because it's made of cheap plastic. Lose it or learn to live with it

My shroud is pretty sturdy for plastic. I have no complaints about that. But if it is all screwy then take it back to wherever you got it and get an exchange. The barrel performs beautifully so just get the cosmetics done and you be painting masks with ease.
