Does anyone know the tippmann effect setup they use on thier 98 customs? Does anyone have any pictures of the markers? Im thinking of bringing my tippy upto tournament playability. I have an E-Rex Ellite, but... theres no full auto lockout.

And is there a way to make the 98Custom shoot even faster?
how fast will it shoot with the trigger mod on it? Im mabe looking for 12 BPS if posible on the tippy. Im glad i kept this gun. Please help me!(please dont say "buy a new gun")

Things I can tell ya....

They all use 98c's. I think only 2-3 use ebolts. And the rest just have stuff like, warps, halo bs, barrel kits, nitro tanks and such.

the e-bolts they use are "special" (no chopping problems and uncapped)

I dont know about the non chopping, never heard of them having an eye. But uncapped, eh probably.

NN's gun has an air ram so it can go faster than normal tippy. Find him on www.m98center.com you can start a thread or pm him to ask.

err... mabe im having second thoughts here. The e-bolt is like 250$ and i would have to buy everything else like the 2x trigger. Mabe im just going to go with the TES. its 20BPS and has an eye.

well to tell you the truth i think most of them just have a barrel, 2x trigger, revvy, and hpa.

ya but theres no way that a 98C can even reach 10 BPS while TES is capable of 20... even with 2x trigger and mod theres no way.

I've seen mech 98s hit 11bps over a chrono.....

It is your decision, but I strongly suggest you reconsider. The TES is not a tournament quality gun despite what the moronic owners say. It's nothing more than an espyder with a 20bps cap and a crappy eye. You could get a cheap spyder or black dragun and upgrade it to kick the crap out of the TES for less money.

A guy from TE that worked at my proshop had a m98c, a 68/4500 tank, 2x trig (no trigger mods), a progressive (thats it, and I'm not kidding), and a revvy. He could hit 9-11 easily, with +- 6 fps. Pretty damn good if you ask me.

Ok the TES is horrible it cant go near 20 bps believe me i used to have one... it chops like no other and i wouldnt call that thing an eye it just plain sux. What i got is a Ballistic sports E-Bolt not the GTA one. It is much better than the GTA e-bolt for many many many reasons. Some things that are better than the GTA one are the LPR the trigger pull is lighter the ram can cycle faster it has an LED light and it can reach a higher speed than the ebolt........ It makes me sick thinkin about the TES because it sux soooooo bad, please reconsider and go with the ballistic sports Kit.... + this kit is only like 10$ more than the ebolt and much better.. if you don't believe me just look at this comparison on NN's site........ http://www.model98.net/articlesgtavsbsi.html

ok first of all... tes is an overall great gun. second its capable of 20 BPS. Chances are you cant even walk over 12, third, get a good hopper and it wont chop. And the eye has to be turned on to work.:eyes:

No, the tes isn't all that bad, it's just not half as good as people hype it up to be. I'm betting you're basing a decision off reviews and maybe testimonies from owners who think it's a tourny quality gun that's on par with timmys and angels. The problem is that most of these people haven't ever shot a high end gun or even a decently upgraded spyder or tippmann (even though they say they have) and thus don't really know what they're talking about.

And the eye is a nice feature, but it is very poor quality, malfunctions all the time, has poor logic, doesnt see dark paintballs, and it isn't strong enough to see through paint so once you chop/break a ball it won't work until well cleaned.

Trust me, don't upgrade from a blowback to another blowback. It's not worth the cost, despite the dazzling reviews and opinions you hear. Look for a used cocker, mag or bko and you will be happier in the long run.

Do any of them have the lpk? Also, i think a few of them have regs.

All have quality nitro systems and some, doubtless, have LPK.

OK no the TES cannot go 20 bps. And yeah i can walk 21 bps i went over a chrono with my brothers RAt imp and when i got the TES i had a halo B and yes the "eye" was on. this wasnt just my opinion on this gun i have like 5 friends who used to have it and they sold it for like 40$ on ebay because u could only walk like 10 bps with it if that.

for once im going to jump to the 98s defense. My A-5 has nearly identical internals to it and i can walk it at 10-11 and on full auto (just for the chrono) it reches nearly 16bps, the 98c should be able to perform the same as long as its got a decent hopper, polished interals, lighter sear sppring, and a few other things that im just to lazy to type.
