So, tell me... do you wear any sort of body armour? Chest plates? Knee pads? Cups, even?
P.S: Pick all that apply!

Elbow & Knee pads arn't much of armor but are really a necessity for sliding and diving so you don't kill your knees or elbows.

True. I stand corrected...:banghead:

Shorts and a T-shirt are the only body armor I need.

Nope. Nothing but jersey, under armour, compression shorts, and pants. I also wear gloves, too, but not really for armor.

armor is for the weak. i don't consider elbow & knee pads or a cup to be armor.

Just kneepads...
I'm getting too old to be sliding without knee protection.

Have to everytime I leave the base camp. The ROEs (Rule Of Engagement) require it. Unfortunately, mine won't stop any rounds from penetrating cause I don't have the ballistic plates...Oh wait, you were talking about paintball. No I don't were body armor when I'm playing paintall, except maybe a cup on occasion.

If you are a frontman, you need elbow and knee pads. I started wearing gloves one day because one of my superman dives went awry and I ended up with a bloody, cut open hand. All of my pads are to protect me from the ground, not paintballs. Other then that I wear a t-shirt. It seems like every tournament I have ever gone to I shed some blood.

infiltrator-I play front mostly and I dont wear pads, or feel the need too...

not "body armour" when im paintballing. At the indoor place during the winter i wear a thick field jacket, but thats for heat, and it bounces off bassicly anything on my arms/body/ If i wwere to where pads, it would be knee and elbow pads

I'm going to wear "body armor" when I get back to playing. I need knee pads, elbow pads, and, and, and... a really padded bra. I don't want to get hit there and then end up getting breast cancer later because of paintball. :| That would suck majorly.

My misguided Cindy...Getting hit in the breast by a paintball is not going to lead to cancer. The odds of that happening are extremely remote. An article was in APG about it last year(Sorry I would research it for you BUT I'm not home.) and the results of paintballs being the cause of breast cancer were inconclusive and not considered a deciding factor.
What I have been told by my wife is that being shot in the breast(she been hit there 3 times)in eqiuivalent to a guy being kicked in the balls. Very painfull, can't decide if you want to puke or not, and generally feeling like crap.

But I'm still scared of getting hit in the boobs. Well, I am old enough to be your father to some degree but think of me as more of the adopted older brother you never wanted. I have soldiers that work for me that are just a few years younger than me and I call them 'my kids'. ;)
And as long as you protect you chest with some sort of padding, you shouldn't have to worry about too much.

Yeah, I'm just going to buy a padded or hard covered bra. One chic I know who paintballed the other weekend said she wore a vest, but I think they're just too much of a hassle and don't allow enough movement.

Man i love paintball but i got a left knee that really disagrees with it i usally wear a knee brace i forgot only 1 time ever, and that 1 time i dislocated my knee cap and chipped my femor. Yeah i have honestly done that over 15 times (not just paintball) in about 7 years. I just got knee surgery on the 13th of aprill 04 the doc said i already have signs of arthritus :( and i am only 17. Anyways when i am healed up i am gonna start using knee pads and maybe elbow pads.

I've had friends get nailed where it counts too many times. I know to wear a cup, it has saved me countless times. For you guys who think you are to strong to not where a cup, i'd like to hear your high pitched voice when you "blls of steel" get hit where it hurts. Thats the only "Armor" i wear other than that all i have is my camo.

My wife had mixed feelings about the full chest plate also. There was/is this company that designs sports bras with an insert that is used for padding. Female lacross players have been know to use them. I wish I was home right now and I'd send you the info. :|

Then I'm the epitaph of 'pathetic'. I wear a chestplate(I'm a guy, FYI), kneepads, a cup, throat protector, and basically everything else you can think of. I even made myself some leg protectors, because it hurts when you get hit there. I'm big, I'm slow, and I'm a sissy... wow, that's sad...:(

I dont wear any pads or armour at all, but im thinking about starting to wear a cup because there was a thread somewhere on PBR and there was a pic of someone who got shot in the nuts. I though I was gunna puke. I dont want that to happen to me.:(

cups are a necessity... ive been shot there from five feen away by a gun that was shooting hot....
couldnt piss for a week without crying!!!
and as for knee pads, thats not armour, thats equipment....
only armour i have is probably my JT Headshield mask... and i wear that for two reasons, one, strapped for cash, two, ive been shot behind the ear twice too many times......

I wear a cup knee pads and elbow pads. The cup is for paintball protection and the pads are for slding protection. Anyone who wears stuff for paintball protection besides a cup or neck prtector is a n00b.

just a jersey and jeans
getting hit in the neck 3 times still didnt give me enough motivation to spend a little cash on a neck protector even though it hurt like hell

Getting hit is part of the sport. Its supposed to hurt. If you didnt feel it the sport woodnt be nearly as fun.

My brother's friend came over once and was wearing chest kevlar because he's becoming a state trooper, thinking it would help. Well, I'm running across the woods and I trip and take a mean spill, he gets all excited and runs out into a clearing to unload on me, but I had already scrambled up behind a tree. Shot him twice in the neck and once dead center in the chest. Heh, he gurgled when he was screaming that he was out.
Murphy's law, if something can go wrong, it will. So, if you don't have everything covered with armor, you might as well not wear any armor at all.
I don't wear any protection.
