I was thinking about getting a freak jr kit which is 109.00$ at pbgear.com, and was wondering if this would be a good buy, our if i should just save up more and get a differnt barrel?

It is a waste. On open bolt markers, you don't need paint to barrel match.

Get an aluminum Longbow for $70. They are FAR more accurate and cost less.

cp 2 peice only 60 bucks at most palces and they are just as accurate as freaks

ultralight= 100$


That equals out 40$ difference, which means they ARE in different price ranges. With that big of a price range, you are saying that a ford and mercedes are in the same price range. So think big.

About the Ultralite, if you look hard enough, you can find one for less than $100. Also, SP does make good stuff, although they did sue some companies, it was in fact their right to. I do wish they would have done it sooner, but that was their choice and what they did was perfectly legal. While I do disagree with what they did, just because they did something that made me mad doesn't mean that their products aren't good anymore.

I know for a fact you can find an Ultralight cheaper than 100. Plus, look around for stores that still have glued ones. They are going for $40 at the moment. Not to mention he was going to buy a freak (jr), which is the crappiest kit made for $109. So right there he has enough for a Ultralight which is much better quality than any SP barrel. If he wants to save roughly $40, he could get a CP 2 piece which will perform almost exactly the same. In essence you are kind of paying for the DYE name.

I never said that SP made bad products. I just don't like the way they do business, like making that aka company shut down or whatever. That isn't too cool.
