I got a spring kit to help increase the velocity on my xtra, now do i use both heavy springs or do i leave the stock spring in front of the striker and put a stiffer spring behind..
thanks

no...no...no....you use only one spring on the striker....the shorter smaller springs are for the valve...you change the valve to a light spring...and use a med-heavy spring on the striker...or whichever spring to give you the velocity range you want at the pressure you want...(so long as it recock's reliably)
now if you don't want to screw around with the valve spring.....just change the striker spring...use the heavery one instead of the stock one.....if thats to much velocity...try the med..etc....but use only one....on the striker...ok

all i do is change the striker spring (by taking the velocity adj. off) and taking the old one out and installing the stiffer/softer spring
i dont ven mess with the valve;)
