Best Magazine?

Hey whats the best paintball magazine? And how much does a sub. cost? Also do brands have there own magazines? Like kingman, vforce, air gun designs(sp?), and others? if so do they cost money to sub. to?

I dont think brands have there own subscription but apg (action pursuit games) is bye far the best. I dont remember how much a subscribtion costs but you can buy them at the store for 5.

I only have experience with this and Paintball Sports. Paintball Sports has some nice articles and coverage on tournies and big games, but Paintball 2 Xtremes has more detailed information on the technical side, with good coverage of events.

I subscribe to APG and it costs $30 a year. I love that mag because it's hella long and it takes me forever to read it (I HATE reading, paintball mags are the ONLY thing I ever read). It's a good mag a has tons of articles and pix (mmmm, pictures of cooooo paintball stuff, aahhhhhhh). And, in the new issue (Jan 2002), there is a biiiiiiig section on markers that is even bigger than Paintball Magazine's marker section, so HA!

If your parents let you, get facefull. Its got nipples and booties and paintball. A perfect combo. It also has some gun reviews, but its mainly a scrap book of angels, cockers and women.

mr playa, the gun guide is in the december mag, not the jan. heeheehee. paintball 2xtremes sucks. i only 80 pages, and has almost no advertisements. also i looked in an edition and saw an article pic with a dude playing paintball with no mask! wtf is that supposed to mean?! that their fricken editors probably don't play paintball.

Paintball2Xtremes is owned and published by National Paintball Suplly Co., which means it's very biased toward the products it distributes ... i.e. don't look for any truthful or unbiased reviews. APG whores to the whole industry, again, don't look for unbiased or truthful reviews.

Also, APG goes to the newstand a full two months in advance of the current date, which means tha now, in Novemeber, they'll be putting out the Jan. 2002 edition. That means you'll never get any current or timely info in it, hell, it took them six months to publish a story about this year's Mardi Gras Open.

Crossfire isn't too bad, at least they accept advertising from companies outside the industry, but as with all other paintball magazines, the quality of the writing is very low, and they miss out on a lot of timely issues. (when was the last time you saw a mag cover a major tournament and publish a story about that tournament in the upcoming or next issue?)

For some reason, the best, most accurate and most timely paintball information is coming from web sites like WARPIG.com.

i strongly urge you to not get apg.just cuz it has less pages doesnt mean it sux.apg has terrible articles and stupid pointless info.and paintballer 56 face full has no ga y porn so u might look elsewhere.

Only if they would update their site, they have had those articles for at least 3 weeks.(Terrible for internet site)

ya ive been wondering about this too, my subscription just ran out on APG and i need to renew or get a dif mag. APG is cool, but ya it is pretty much a newb magazine as EVERY issue has lame tips for your first time or newbie tips. there was a mag called paintball that i got in england that is pretty cool, but its kinda thin . . . would it be ok if i made another thread with a poll? or would that piss off the mods and members? i would like a poll on this . . .

Well i like APG the most..its rather a good read..to bad they are 2 months ahead on the shealves i wanna hear about the Sky ball games that month not 2 months later...they need to cattch up withe themselves!

i like pb2xtremes, cross fire and pgi.

although i agree with muck on this those are the best paintball mags.

the worst by far is paintball mag .

paintball mag is a decent magazine imo it has some nice stuff in the issue i bought

pgi is a really cool mag(has the one w/ Lisa Harvey in it heh heh) it also has some real nice stuff in it

its ok if you only get one mag but as soon as you get two or three you will see why I hate it so much. the stories are all the same and they just copy the apg articles but then they throw in about 20 misspellings shorten it and newbiefy it. and they have so many errors through out the mag its not even funny. it took them 4 months to finally put the correct pics by some of the guns in the back. they had a piranha ext pic by the sovereign two gun. its just pitiful.
