Not a bad Idea - very upgradeable - a good beginner marker. He now has money left over to get a nice barrel, other equiptment - and play paintball.

Maybe get some other stuff he wanted too - not paintball related.

The inexpensive spyders are a great choice when getting into the sport. I spent $100 and I got a 6-1 harness - a mask - a 12oz co2 tank & a compact - when I first started - it was more than enough to just play.

Well, if he was a newby or something and didn't need anythihng else then it's fine. Leave him alone. If he's intermediate, whatever. If he's a great baller, he's an idiot that should know his skill level better and be able to pick the right marker for that certain skill level.

I'm guessing he's not very experienced so just let it go.

Meh, I had $350 spent when I first started out I got a Spyder Xtra $200 back in the day, old school boomstick of ebay for $40, cheap nitro off ebay also $40, some nameless regulator $20, & an LCD frame for $50 off of Ebay also. Yeah I'm an idiot for doing that as well I guess :rolleyes: , if its his money why do you care on what he spends it on calling him a noob or idiotic doesn't mean he made poor decisions or that he isn't a good player at all.

Stupid - He could have got an electro spydy or Piranha for a bit more.
Good - He saved tons of money.

If he is a beginnger that isn't really stupid. Sure, he could have gotten a better marker. But if he is just starting out maybe he wants to get something cheaper. That's a lot smarter than the kids who try paintball once, buy an electro, use it once or twice, and then never play again. If he decides he doesn't want to get serious about the sport then he isn't out a lot of money.

U guys changed my mind. hes not stupid cuz he barely plays. and i dont think hes too serious about the sport. anyway in my opinion i would of got somethin a lil better. and if it offends u or sumthin i can change my sig and my location. it doesent really matter to me anyway.

bought nitro
bought a cp 1 piece barrel

Thats about $250 right there, and then he should start saving up for a new gun, cause he'll have a nice loader and nitro already.

Or if he was just trying out the sport:

A spyder player pack or a package or something for around $100.

Egg=100$
Nitro= approx 250+$ (can get a 48 3000 for 130$)
Victor=105$
Mask=50$

As you can see thais adds up to approx 500$ canadian. and he had 300$. so penguins, wheres ur idea now?

Theres this kid in my class. He is cool and all... but he is a total newb when it comes to paintball. Like he has an imagine, and always brags that he is so good and stuff and how he will be able to shoot me out the first few seconds.

We were talking... and I show him a picture of my soon to come slasher trigger, and he is like "Thats hella stupid, why would anyone ever drill holes in a trigger that nice???".. he was talking about the set screw holes.. lmao

Then he was saying how he somehow can controll the amount of liquid co2 that gets into his marker... and he can have "controlled" velocity spikes... so he can get velocities of over 350.. lol. Hes just really dumb when it comes to this stuff, yet thinks he is lasoya. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable in paintball, so maybe im just thinking he is stupid because I know a ton more then him. lol
