I have a Mokal Fokus (doesn't really matter) and when trying to loosen one of the screws i stripped it.:( I was trying to loosen it with the correct size allen wrench but it was so tight that when i tried harder and i stripped it. This is sort of general but what do you do if you strip something like this? Please tell me there's a way to get it off and replace it.

Any help is extremely appreciated.
~Thanx

ur gunna have to sacrafice a allen wrench and buy some JB weld or something of that sort.

find a allen wrench that best fits the large hole you have made, and use the JB to glue that allen wrench to the screw. make sure that sucker is set firm, and twist out. your local paintball store should sell more screws as they are pretty standard, OR u can call up Mokal and have them send u another screw, IMO not worth the effort, but it could very well be free.

If the screws head is round than you could just use a Wrench and twist it out intil you can take it out manually. Then just go to your local proshop and replace it.

This is a good time to invest in a stripped screw remover

errrrrrrrrr? Could you rephrase that? stripped stripped? ands? will it work even though it's an allen wrench used to remove it not a screwdriver?

~Thanks

another name for it is a drill and tap dye.some of them will dill a small whole down the strip screw with an attachment to be able to turn the screw out without stripping it.if you can cut a slot into the top of the screw with a dremmal then you can use a flat head screw driver to turn the strip screw out.The hard part is not damaging the maker body threads.

Would the JB weld idea work the same?

You also have two other choices..

1 - If the bit is flush in, then get a set of easy outs. They goto into a drill then you drill/screw out the offending bit.

2 - If the bit isn't flush, get a hack saw and cut about 1/8" slot in the head then grab a flat head screw drivers and unscrew..
