my friend had 300 to spend on a gun and bought a spyder fenix. even after i told him that he is just paying for the milling he still went and got it. i told him he should go with a 2003 autococker because he would have increased accuracy (which is what he wanted because he has been playing paintball for the past 3 years and still considers himself a sniper) tell me what u guys think about it and what he SHOULD have gotten.

his money, his choice. is it his first marker purchase? then getting the spyder was a good choice, regardless of which spyder he got. what was he using before?

autococker doesn't have increased accuracy. it just has a more desirable operating system.

he has been using spyders and the last gun he bought before the fenix was a tippman 98c. IMO an autococker is better because it has no kick which means faster shooting with more accuracy.

cockers have less kick.

an e-spyder can shoot faster than a mech cocker.

true, since he's been using spyders & a tippmann for 3 yrs, he could take a step up to cockers. but if he likes spyders so much, no need to get mad at him.

1. His money, he can do whatever.
2. It has less kick than an E-spyder, not "no" kick.
3. E-spyders can shoot faster than a mech cocker like nerdcore said.
4. He says hes a sniper? You should slap him upside the head for that.

Although most people will argue with me all day long, and someone will probably flame the hell out off me.
I don't see a cocker as a step up, the fenix is faster out of the box than a cocker is, and just as ugradeable/customizable.
If you want a cocker to shoot as fast as an e- spyder it'll cost you 2-4 times as much as buying a spyder. I don't think a good e-cocker comes close to being worth the money

Nope i've only got this 1 account. Why would i need 2?

what i would say is if it was his first gun id say ok. or maby he doesent know how cockers work and doesent want to screw one up. othrwise id call him an udder noob for thinking of himself of a sniper after playen for 3 yrs

a cocker is more customizable then a spyder.
