I got a Pirahna STS G2. This thing is awesome. Also, I have a 14" Titanium series Dye boomstick too. An expansion chamber(I'm not exactly sure waht kind) and a psycho ballistic drop forward are two other things on my gun.

i've only been paintballing 2 times and it was fun. I only got one person too. Everyone at the field i play at all have tippman 98s. i told one of them that i was planning on getting spyder. He then said that all spyder sucks. i think that he has never played with a spyder. So when i get my spyder i going to prove that he is wrong.

Yeah, he's definately wrong. Spyders are very reliable guns. The Spyders and Pirahnas, I think, are the two top gun makers for amateurs. They really don't cost that much and are very high quality. GO PMI AND KINGMAN!!!!!!! Well, you shoot that guy for me. Oh, do you got a different barrel or did you just keep the stock barrel? Like I said, I have a boomstick and I love this thing to death. It is quiet, light, and very accurate. So, if you have the money, I would suggest getting a boomstick. However, a regular one is $100 and a titanium series, like mine, is $150!!!!! So... later dude.

sorry falcon. i never said that tippmans suck or anything. they r good guns but imo i like spyders better because they r compact and easy to upgrade. tippmans r easy to upgrade too but i think they r too long.

Falcon, it's people like you who keep this sport from growing into a main-stream sport. If you spend all your time yelling at the newbies and scaring them off, how are we supposed to get more people to play? I don't care how skilled a player you think you are-- you do nothing for paintball by chasing away the new players. Besides, everyone was a newbie once, even you and me. In fact I still consider myself a newbie to this day. So before you begin cussing and swearing about newbies remember that you have a newbie for a Mod.

Oh and because I am a mod, I am allowed to say catchy things like "stop the flaming or else I'll close this thread", and if you do continue flaming, I will close this thread. Now play nice.

no problem. in fact, i help newbies straiten out. there was this one guy, young gunner. did nothing but spam and flame NEWBIES JUST LIKE HIMSELF. he even threatened to kill me. well, i got a whole bunch of people to send him endless emails, and on this site, i just made fun of him and laid down the law and stuff like that and he left after a while. falcon man is my next project. i hate people who are new to this site that make fun of people that are new to the site as well. i bet he doesnt even go paintballing

Hey Jacob, are you running Co2 or air? If you're looking to make your 'gun rock-solid consistent, get a preset nitro tank.. plus you can always use the tank if you upgrade. Compressed air made my Spyder shoot so much better than Co2. You don't have to worry about temperature.

I'd also recommend a motorized loader.. like the Ricochet 2k or Ak.

With that kinda setup; boomstick, compressed air and a motorized loader.. your piece will be totally maxed out.

actually flash you dont need a 150 buk boomstick to make your gun good. the all american series barrels are VERY nice and for alot less. but i do agree on the n2 or compressed air.

I've used a boomstick a lot, and I have an All American. My conclusion is that the boomstick isn't really worth all that money, get an AA, and save your cash for other upgrades like n2.

Y'all should be proud to support newbies. In Texas, we have a LOT of newbies. Don't forget: Chances are, one day they'll be bunkering YOU. So respect them.

This summe, I went with 5 friends to play. 2 had guns, a Spyder TL+ and a Compact. The rest didn't. Later, one of the non-owners paid $300 for a basic SE with 4+1 harness package. Those three kept harrassing me for not having my own maker, and for renting. They wanted me to spend $200 for a Spyder TL+ package. I refused, and was continually harrassed. I was on a 'team', AND still renting!

About 4 weeks ago, I called Play-it-Again sports to see if they had any equipment. They didn't, but the guy who got answered my call at the store wanted to sell his setup. I agreed to meet later, and check it out. He had the following:

Older-piranha with bottom line
Dye 14" SS barrell
9-volt revvy
PMI stalker mask
20 oz C02 tank
JT gloves
4+1 harness with 3 ICD pods, and 4 BE pods
PMI plug, elbow, and hopper
VLbow
ACI elbow
Stock barrel
BE carrying case
Parts kit

It was all nearly untouched, and he had only been 2 or 3 times in his backyard. I paid $200 flat.

The moral- Wait for awhile, and a deal will present itself.


That's my newbie-motivator story for the day.
