problems with my dye excel barrel

i bought this dye excel barrel 12 in from acepaintball.com and it wont screw into my gun all the way. it screws in about half way then it just gets jammed. the tube it came in says spyder on it. and my other 2 barrels fit perfectly in it. i already tried returning the barrel but acepaintball is being a **** about it. they want me to pay for shipping and all this other crap. and they said the warranty doesnt cover it or some bull**** like that. im really pissed off@!!!!!!!!!!!!

look at the threads on the barrel to make sure they arnt stripped and check them to your other spyder barrels to see if there the same threads per inch as the others are.

the threads arnt striped cause i bought it brand new and it only has 4 threads instead of 5! my other 2 barrels both have 5 treads. is this just a dye thing or do i have a differnt barrel?

My Dye Xcel has 4 threads, and it goes on my compact2k just fine. My CP also has 4 threads, along w/ my CMI Tru-Flight. My 32* Terminator has 5 threads.

All 4 barrels fit on my compact fine.

The Xcel should fit your spyder fine. What kind of spyder do you have.. what are your other two barrels that do fit your gun?

its not a spyder , its a piranha bl vf, and the stock barrel and a pmi razzor . they both fit in the gun perfectly.

I seriously doubt that his piranha could be the problem. All piranhas take spyder threaded barrels, MAYBE the threads inside of your marker could be messed up, but try other barrels with spyder threads if you havent already, but if that works just call PMI they may have a solution.

Well if PMI piranha barrels work, and spyder barrels dont, i think that may be a problem :cofused:

i know they are the same threads, but it could be something internally like you said

Well I doubt it could be anything internally, cause nothing is really in its way other then the threads inside the marker. But im not really sure whats the problem :|

im gonna give him the barrel and see if it fits in his gun, if not then we are sure its the barrel. then its just a matter of getting ace paintball to send me a new one.
