View Full Version : My ordeal...

Man, I got my B2k like more than a month ago, yet I haven't even fired a single paintball through it. Why, this is how the sad story goes:

I got mine used off of ebay - serial number : 0326. Got it with a 68 tank, so it's not really bad, right ? everything for $260 +shipping. Well that SOB didn't mention he lost the ball detent and the tank was leaking. Those 2 are cheap but he should've mentioned it. Anyways, it didn't come with a drop. Not even an ASA, just the quick disconnect from the reg and a friggin remote. I asked him to throw in the hopper (he said he'd give it upon request) and guess what, it's a VL 200. No joke ! What a friggin noob, even the body was never cleaned - messy and sticky from gunk.

So i took it to the store to fill the tank, it was leaking and gotta wait for 2 days for the tank to be fixed, so i bought a rail and the asa at the store. Once i got home, i decided to break down the HPR just to make sure it was lubed well. I lost a tiny part when i was opening the HPR and didn't realize it. so when i got the tank back, the hpr was creeping so i decided to get a new reg.

Bought a CP reg and Kapp ASA and ordered the vapor valve from tantrum. I got the reg and the ASA but the valve never came in. I already took the gun apart to install the valve and the o-ring from the stock valve is swollen. Well, since i want to try the gun out i put the valve back in. Assembled everything with the new reg, ran air thru it and it was leaking from the bad o-ring. I brought it back to the store to let them change the o-ring since i don't have an extra o-ring. Then yesterday i found a slip form USPS saying that the package was delivered a couple of weeks ago. I guess my grandpa put that slip away with the rest of the junk mail. So yesterday i picked the valve out, drop it off to the store and alas, my gun is still at the shop and i haven't fired a single shot thru it yet.

Man... can't wait to have my baby back... sigh..

It sounds like you are going to have a nice gun on your hands once you get it back.

heh, i bought a B2k off e-bay a while back....got it in similar condition, the reg creeped, it leaked, didn't shoot, was gunked up, feedneck was striped...ETC... I fixed it, still didn't like the condtition it was in, sold it for less then I paid, and bought a cocker...then later i got a bko, haven't been happier. lesson: donn't buy bushy's off e-bay!

Im leaving Monday morning (06/07). Hopefully I'll get my Internet setup for the flight, so I can talk to you guys.

The airline, im using, requires you to notify them if you would like net access while on board. It cost a little extra, but I think its worth it.

I dont know....its kind of complicated...the airline guy said that, while on the plane, I basically get Internet from my same net provider. Sort of like I go in through adelphia like I normally would, but instead of going directly to me, it goes to the airline's server, up to a satellite, and then down to me in the plane.

Hopefully they have it setup, so I can post on the trip over....maybe I'll get some pics when cruising at 25,000ft!

Dude that sucks. I should track down that kid you bought it from and kick his *** for mistreating his Bushy like that. You got a pretty early one from the look of that serial #, so its probly been well-used, possibly by several previous owners. But you got some nice parts for it, once you get it working you will have a nice setup. Having an old Bushy and fully upgrading it is really pretty similar performance-wise as fully upgrading a new Bushy, except you save several hundred dollars cause its older. Just keep telling yourself that while you're waiting to get it back from the shop, maybe it'll lessen the pain.

I bought my Bushy on Ebay for $400, so I saved like $70. Supposedly it was brand-new, never used, and I believe it. It was perfectly clean, looked new from the factory, no scratches, etc. Came with the Owner's manual too. Guess I got kucky. I doubt I would buy a used bushy from anyone who I didnt know either from PBR or PBN. People just do too many stupid things to their guns.

Thats why on ebay you just dont take a persons word for it. You request more pics, what kind of state its in. If the person can a break-down view of the marker. Sometimes they dont even know the condition of the marker until you request this. If they say they cant do this for you, you walk away because obviously there is something wrong with the marker or they have never done it before. Also request a picture if its an electro showing the marker in its on state. I have a friend buy an ir3 off ebay without checking this and the board was fried. Thank goodness we have an angel tech nearby or he would of been SOL on his gun for awhile.

On a side note welcome to the family and once you get it back I hope you enjoy your bushy as much as I enjoy both of mine.
