Well i was talking to a guy at a local proshop and he was telling me about how many of the top players have illegal tourny bords that go into turbo and other modes not alowed for semi games. He even whent as far as saying he had one in his marker(DM4). He is not one to play jokes or kidd around and he is really nice. I was just wondering if this is true. is sounded like they work like this by hiting the trigger once it keeps firing and bouncing. Pretty much fully auto. I mean it sounds like debounce but that is not tourny legal.
So what up is this true or are the top player really shoting 22BPS like nothing every game. NO FLAMMING
THANX

The only thing I can think of for this to be possible would be if they were to make a custom board. Or they could be lowering the debounce. But if they did any of this the refs would probably catch it. This guy sounds like a conspiracy theorist. Does he think that that government is after his chickens?

No, it's true. Check out this months issue of Facefull, it explains everything in detail.

There's a guy here that modifies Imp boards to have ramp and bounce, so, yeah, it is done.

there was that rumor about dynasty using cheater boards.

I believe a guy on Redz factory was caught using one at a tourny not long ago. Look on pbstar.com mayb? I saw it on shockerowners.com right on the front page.

Yeah, pretty much most or all of the pro teams have a ramping cheaterboard.

I know that the tadao board ramps. As you begin to walk it, it starts out at normal speed, and then goes into turbo ... shooting faster than you're physically walking.

Yes, there are some cheater boards...I have a dream, that one day paintball will be big enough to be able to enforce the rules, so no one is able to cheat and the games are 100% fair.

Simple fix, ban elecro markers.

Or if that doesn't do it for you, someone should build a marker that accepts plug-in boards so when you play in a tournament the refs can put a board in your marker and that's what you use, no chance of cheating then.

Not sure if it's true or not to be honest. All I know is, my team and I try our best to be good sportsman, and not cheat. None of our tourney team uses bounce.

My suggestion, don't worry about it...don't idolize all the "pros". Do your best at the local level to be a fair player, and an ambassador for our sport. Respect the sport...and the sport will respect you.

Is it really worth having more speed but knowing yourself that you cheated? To me, no. My fingers can shoot fast enough for me to never need or want a cheater board.

It's not the board so much as what the settings are on the board. WAS and Frenzy boards are perfectly legal.

My friends knows a guy on the Oakland Assasins, and they all use cheater boards, every team in X-ball does. I wouldn't be suprised if most teams Nov and up use cheater boards......

Not saying all frenzys are like this, but after my friend got his 2k2 from directly from bob, that thing was shootin at least 3 shots every pull, and consider theres hardly even a pull there, thats a lot of bps.

so... is ramp like, if your pulling past like, 10 bps, it goes into turbo mode?

sorry I'm not a knowledgable electro pneumy yet... lol

NPPL "robot?"

STO Balla 22
06-08-2004, 02:36 PM
Yes, it starts shooting faster than you're actually walking. The NPPL robot is a machine that tests if your trigger (bounce, etc) is legal by firing your gun.

Oh, "get real."

Just curious...

But why can't all these so-called "professionals" (lmao...that's a good one) play FAIR and SET AN EXAMPLE instead of being pu$$ies and cheating to win?

Focking morons. I miss the way paintball was 10 years ago.

Because one team probably did it to get a fair advantage, and the other teams are now all doing it so they don't fall behind. That's one of the reasons I like NPPL more than Xball. NPPL has a better rule and reffing system, less cheaters and less bouncing.

Cheater boards are like masterbating, everyone does it, but no one wants to admit it.

Ohhh...isn't he that scrawny kocksmoker that shoots hot and wipes because he doesn't have enough skill to win otherwise?

I thought so.

All I have to say is...if I caught a player cheating on me (in a tourney setting), I'd get ejected instantly for shoving his marker down his throat and socking him in the nose. :pissed:

No one seems to care enough to do anything about it in this sport, and cheating is running amuck everywhere, so I hesitate calling it a sport - and I CERTAINLY would never call any paintball player a "professional" anything. Soley because of the reputation players like this give the game of paintball.

And yet you criticize him for the SAME type of inappropriate behavior that prevents our sprot from gaining a positive image in the media.

Hypocrite.

Hypocrite. Eh, from what I see on the news, tempers in sports GET the media attention and not too negative. ESPN loves to show the MLB clips when a pitcher hits a hitter and a fight ensues. ESPN loves to show the fines in the NFL when players celebrate or fight, etc.

That has nothing to do with giving our sport a non-positive image...

So much.............

Boards: I believe the All Americans started the whole thing with the old shoebox Shocker. They had a turbo mode which eventually was outlawed but is still around in the hearts of tourney players.

Now pretty much every team has cheater boards just so they can compete on equal footing with the other cheating teams. I say change the insurance rules and just go full-auto. They are basically doing it now but just lying and deceiving themselves.

Pro sport: Any sport where you can whine, fight with refs and throw your dangerous equipment w/o penalty is not Pro and will not be on tv for a LONG time.

The NPPL robot:

I think alot more cheating goes on in NXL than in the NPPL. I have seen videos of a few X ball games and its very easy to tell that they really are not walking thier trigger as fast as thier guns are shooting.
BTW- My brother has a 02 shocker with a turbo board...he keeps it on semi though, so its all good.

Yeah cause you would be playing in a tourney. o wait you wouldn't. Hell i wouldn't mind to get my hands on a board that ramps; for ****s and giggles mind you. The new anderson board is coming out for trixes comes with a ramping mode that can be tourney locked. Prolly be fun to screw around with that feature
