Hey, i installed the RT trigger into my tippman today and when i shot i was very dissapointed. Instead of whizzing paintballs it felt like i was shooting the same as before but with a harder tigger pull(due to the new heavy duty spring). Is there any way i can adjust this? It also clicks in between each shot if thats normal.

PS when my plain old non-electric hopper could keep up with my fireing speed i knew sumthing was wrong.

PPS i dont ahve a double trigger maybe that would help

THANKS!

Adjust the screw that is connected to the valve body out.

I adjusted the small screw inside the nut connecting to the rear of the gun. i unscrewd it all the way but it still doesn't seem to work right....can someone tell me how far to unscrew it to hit the sweet spot?

Go buy some relatively inexpensive paint and begin fiddling with different flow settings and trigger pulls. The sweet spot is more of a half trigger pull, holding the trigger at just the right spot so it bounces back and forth. For some people(like me) it takes a good bit of doing to get the sweet spot.

thanks for the replys! I was wondering what were some of the changes and adjustments you successful RT'ers made(yes i said RT'ers and i am aware that it's totaly lame) to get your trigger spot on.

Just try to find the sweet spot without paint. If you can't find it right now turn the screw a little and try again. Keep turning and trying until you find the spot that gives you the most bounce. Every RT is different so I cant tell you an exact amount of turns. My friend was the same way when he first installed his on a 98c. Took a while for the RT to break in. But once it did and he found the right setting. Craziness.

next your going to want to do some mods to keep it there lol. Alot of people have trouble keeping the sweetspot going during pressure. Look around you'll find many many mods that will help you out.

ya, haha, you finally got the RT working right if you are amazed at the speed. it does rip. as for trigger mods. The only one I would recommend is replacing the trigger return spring in behind the safety w/ a bic click pen spring. It wont do much, but I know it is a safe mod for the RT. I wouldnt try anything w/ the sear or sear springs, or you may start having misfire/sear not catching problems.

and for the RT to work good, you need a full tank of air. when the tank starts getting low, you will lose the sweetspot and it wont be easy to get the trigger to react.

Now all you have to do is practice the "feel" of the trigger and learn how to increase/decrease ROF w/ the pressure on the trigger.

Yeah becareful of any sear mods. They might cause it to mis fire like Yak said. You can play with the sear spring if you have an A-5, much easier to mess with than a 98c. If all else fails you can tape the pin the sear rests on or put a straw around it. Doubles sweetspot instantly. ;) If you have trouble during a game even after much practice you can put a stop pin behind the trigger too keep you from over pulling the trigger. But before you try anything play a good game to see if you have any trouble. I'm sure you will go fine.

bad news, well when the air went low before it turns out the farting noise that i thought was the RT trigger was in fact just the tank running on empty :( (really wnted to believe that it worked  ) i filled up my tank and fired it to try to break in the new RT, when that didnt work i used a whole 47ci 3000psi tank of my frnds still nothing....getting kinda frustrated and starting to second guess my installation wihch im pretty sure is alright.

-----while reading a troubleshooting guide I noticed that if the trigger(when the sadjustment screw is all the way screwd in) is still easy to pull which means there may have been a gas leak. Whilelistening closely to my gun i realized that i heard a VERY small amount of air escaping from what seemed to be where the air hose screws into the valve. I wrapped the valve in teflon tape and the escaping air proceeded....should i give in and take my gun to the pro-shop or has anyone had a similar problem?
