I am gonna buy a dye boomstick and I was just wondering if the length of it has anything to do with the balls accuaracy, range, and anything else? I want to get the 12" boomstick because it is smaller and I like my gun to be more compact, but there are also 14" 16" 18" I can get for the same price. So Im juss wondering which length I should get due to the preformance of the barrel. My friend keeps telling me that the length has no affect on the preformance but I dont want to risk wasting $100+ on a barrel that preforms bad.

i think that a 12 or 14 inch is perfect. Longer barrels do increwase accuracy, but i think that anything after 14 inches, you will start to lose range cuz of the extra friction from the barrels..

No, a longer barrel doesnt increase accuracy. Past that first 6"s or so, the rest is worthless. In fact, once you get to a certain point, there will be a loss of accuracy due to the increased friction.
As for range, having a longer barrel wont increase your range any more than another gun at the same velocity. Velocity is what determines range, nothing else.
