Hey, I was just thinking because I saw a post about this and have seen them before - people wondering how much their setup is worth. I've just seen it alot and thought that it would be cool if there was a Setup Appraisal forum/sticky so that people would get responded to moquicker and more often.
Just an Idea.

I agree, forums are getting very crowded from all these people who want others to rate their markers.

Airgun used to have an appraisal sticky before, as did Worr. I forget why Worr's was unstickied and left for dead, but I know Airgun's was because everybody came back with different numbers, and sometimes people would a) get offended when they were told their gun wasn't worth anywhere near what they think it should be worth and b) people were trying to sell guns at the appraisal value and it not happening. Best way to do it is throwing up a "Testing the waters" thread and seeing what offers it gets. Or, if the forum doesn't allow it [I don't think PBR or PBN allows it], just put it up for sale and see what happens. You'll get prices people are realistically looking to pay. You'll also have buyers set up if you do want to sell it. If not, you say 'Sorry, decided I don't want to sell my gun" and that's that.

Even if you advertise at a low proce unkowingly, that doesn't legally mean you have to sell it.

Check out the Tippmann Ultimate Sticky, we've got a thread like that already in place. :)
Make it in whatever forums you want and the mod will probably put it in the Ultimate.

i killed the cocker appraisal thread because 9/10 people that wanted appraisals didn't intend on selling their guns. it was more of a showoffy thread. so, it died :)
