I've had it. Tourney ball, although fun, is just killing me. I'm to the point where I want to sell everything-and I mean my matrix, halo, tank, pack, etc., and get that stock class phantom.

Anybody else feel this way? Are you guys unhappy with the way paintball is shaping? I don't even have fun playing paintball anymore.

try NOT playing tourneys so much. i thought about entering tourneys earlier ths year but now i'm not so sure. if i started now, by the time i ever get close to pro level ima be too old.

so it's all recball for me. and i sure ain't gettin tired of that.

but if you ARE gonna sell your trix, think of me first, would ya?:wink2:

eh i dont play tourney ball or anything but playin stock class is great. Phantoms arent even that much and if you sold ur gear you would have easily enough money to get a couple nice mods.

Play some fortress games like 20 on 20 those are fun as hell and try some trench war action. Scenario games are really starting to pick up.

DEfinitely. I'd have the most pimpin SC phantom money could buy. But it'd still be nothing but speedball for me.

It's not that tournaments aren't fun, it's just that it gets tiring. Everyone f-ing cheats, refs favor home teams, ROF, rivalries, it just gets to you. People don't play for the fun of it at that level, they play for the (male genitalia) envy.

Trust me bro, it's almost the same every where. Only wonderful, non biased refs can cure this, and that's not going to happen, I'm sorry, but it's just not.

If the fields and refs are bad jus go out and play some rec ball. If you don't like it you could always go back and play tourney. Then if neither works out you could just sell ur gear and get a pump.:D

Just play some rec ball for a while. Take a break from the tourneys. Go to the field to have fun not just to win. Once you cool off, you can start playing some tourneys again.

Go play some rec ball with a group of friends and just have fun. Stay away from tourny ball for a while. When you want to get back into tourny ball, you're probobly ready to play again.
OR
Stop paintballing for a while. Wait for like a month or two, and then just, go paintballing.

Yeah. Play some scenarios and recreational ball. Thats what got me hooked in the first place and should bring back the love of the game. And even though pumps are a change, i would keep the good semi-auto if possible. That way if you do decide you want to rip again you still can.

I like everyone's ideas. Now, I wonder what my team will say.

The thing is, I have to go pump. I made a pact to myself that if I ever discontinued tournies, I would buy either a phantom or a really nice, yet rare pump. After seeing that kid with an SL-68II take out several vets with trixes and cockers when he was outnumbered 4 to 1, I took it as a sign from god.

actually you could make an incredible phantom or you could just buy a stock carter buzzard or comp, great guns i don't own one but have shot them.

other good pumps are:
aci maverick or hornet
the illusion
any old rare be pumps
sterlings

and palmers pursuit makes quite a few pumps and thats jus a few options

Definitely, dude. I run the phantom on the airball field all the time and always have no problem whatsoever keeping up. Often times others have a hard time keeping up.

Oh, and you will get a whole bunch of attention when you run a pump on airball. :P

Well, my decision has been made. I'm selling my matrix, and buying a sterling STP (if I can find one).

I might still play tournies. Maybe just one more, after i get my pump. I would like the attention.

It's like a mid life crisis.

I played like 5 tournies last summer and it was just not enough fun, I'm only gonna play a couple this summer. The Phantom would be a great idea.
