I have a tippmann 98 custom and the stock barrel is...insufficient, to put it lightly.

I've been reading all the reviews and forums for about 3 months now, and i have narrowed down which barrel i want to two of them, smart parts big daddy or all-american.

the big daddy seems to be the better barrel, but i cant find it for under $90 for the custom. is it really worth the extra $30?

why not just get the flatline? it was made just for the tippmann 98. or do you want to keep the length down?

I cant find the flatline for under $100 dollars, it is a pain to clean when it breaks balls, and once u break paint, it doesn't hit s*** until its clean.

It makes a tippmann look like an mp5, though

I wouldn't put alot of money into a marker like a tippman. They are a decent rec marker. But try and do anything else and they are not the greatest. A cheap cocker would be a better thing to spend money on. One that is in good working condition can sell for as little as $250.

If you are set about those two barrels, just get the AA. You won't notice much of a difference going to the big daddy.

i'd say go for the new AA. The new style of AA's are sweet looking and cheaper than the Big Daddy's. You can get a All American back and a Freak front off of www.smartparts.com for around $75.

the Big Daddy is a better barrel than the AA. Now the AA w/ Freak Front is comparable, but the straight AA isn't as good.

Ok, so what if my options were> All American 12 in. but it is the older on peice barrel but new in condition OR Big Daddy 12 in. and also is the older on peice style but new in condition. Any difference in the price does not matter, concerned about the accuracy more. Thanx Guy's!
