I have come to a conclusion. (roy too)

Well, speedball is fun and all, but we just thought it's time to stop our little adventure in the realm of speedball/sup air.


Essentially, we're selling all of our stuff. Everything but our beloved guns, for me my tippmann, and for him his cocker. We're keeping various small items like the revvy and nitro for when we get the urge to play some speedball.

We reached this conclusion today basically. There's no rush anymore, there's a complete lack of fun. It's just straight competition. It's like we've lost track of what pball is all about. And that is fun.

So what we've decided on is this:

Matching green acid washed phantoms
45 grip frame
Clear parts
14 inch barrels
Matching annoed stock
10 round tubes ONLY.

We're going 100% stock class.

From what we've found so far we're gonna be the only ones to have those exact phantoms. It will be beyond UBER, it will be some sort of super UBER never seen before.

Can't wait for this, it's gonna be life changing. Since paintball is basically my life, and I'm doing a 180 turn in paintball, my whole life is essentially changing.

Yes, it is true. We have finally seen the light. And were going all out with out matching phantoms, these things are gonna be HHHHHOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT. I cant wait to get out on the field with one of them badboys.

STOCK CLASS PRIDE!!!!!!! Congrats, I played stock for a little bit and loved it. It's just so much fun. But I say Don't get stocks and get different colors unless you both just really love that color. One of you can get a mini and one a normal or sumthin. Good luck though.

Phantoms rock, theres a guy at my field with an orange acid wash and its hot.
He's gotten really good with it too, he'll carry maybe 5-6 10 round tubes with him on and that will last him like half the day, very awesome gun to shoot as well.
CCI also has some of the best customer service ever if no matter how unprobably it is your gun breaks down.
Once i get my cocker i may consider going back to roots, stock class would rock.

if you look around you can get used ones for pretty cheap.. like 100-150 for a nice basic vsc.

EDIT: p8ntfreak98, thanks for the feedback. Yellow acid it is, with clear parts. One thing, though: When I checked CCI's website, acid yellow was not a listed color. There was acid green, acid red, acid blue, etc...but no yellow. :(
Does CCI do custom colors? Do they charge more to do that? Or would I have to get it anodized somewhere else?

Probably get it anno'd somewhere else like max. They do amazing jobs on all markers. It shouldn't cost as much as like a timmy or a cocker, there's considerably less to anodize.

I'm sure if you called CCI they ould hook you up.

Well I have read this whole thread...and I have not been convinced to go pump. The thing for me is that speedball is still hella fun. And im just going to start doing tourneys. So im still haveing fun, so why quit for stock class. Alot of the people in this thread probobly were still haveing fun with speed ball also...but now they are just following the crowd. If speed ball is still fun...why quit people. The people who have actually played tourneys and speedball(and are sick of it) I respect them for going to pump. But not the people who are just following the crowd.

You'll get tired of it quickly (if it's x ball format).

After playing a lot of tourneys it gets old, teh fights, constant language (I'm no stranger to swearing, but after hearing it for a few hours straight it gets old) mad cheating, not like small things, I mean like blatant wiping, I've seen guys wipe gog hits. There's little to no fun involved, you go to win and people will do everything imaginable to win. Whats the point of playing if you're not having fun because some one just wiped a gog hit and got you, but the ref pulls you and lets the other guy slide becasue he's on the home team?

its kinda hidden so if you go to general marker forums then pump/stock markers the very top it will say CCI or phantom.

Well, all I have to say is that you all are *******s. I mean that in the most loving and caring way possible though. I too will be buying a phantom. Im still gonna play with my cocker when it gets here, but I will definately set aside time to play stock. I used to play with a pump gun against all my friends with their semi's and it was a lot of fun. Im not backing out of the semi world, Im just broadening my paintball experience. Can I be #9? Wont be getting the phantom till a month or two after I get back from Iraq (should be next month), but I will be getting one.

Whitewolf is great!! I got my phantom from him. He does a great job and everything is for the lowest prices, except it took him 2 weeks to get it to me.

I would of had a phantom some time ago if I would of had money, I have been trying to sell this ebladed cocker to fund it. BUt I'm NOT getting rid of my tribal, its what makes me me. Me and Xtraboy have been saving for phantoms for awhile now, and I need to get like 400 total for all I want, but I need to sell this cocker.

The hardest part is deciding the color, ~2 months now of saving, and stuff, and I still can't decide what color :( ugh....

I have been looking at stock class play for atleast 3 months now and have started saving, but now, im not so sure if i want to... I dont want to go along with the crowd, partly the reason why i shoot a tribal...

I will still probably end up getting one, just to hone my game and probably be the only stock player in the valley with one... but still..

The main reason why i started looking at stock is because of all these people that i hear go form semi to stock, then later down the road go back to semi and they are SOOO much better...

I dunno, this just seems like now getting a phantom is the "cool" thing to do. And now getting one doesn't seem to be as cool as it would if I would of gotten one awhile back, and now it seems I'm just going along with the "group"

Some guys, I see a reason, but now everyone else is saying they are getting one, when I don't think they are really burnt out on paintball, they just want to be cool.

I know that some, yes have a reason to go and get a phantom, others just seem like they are trying to be cool.

They charge $16 for 20 tubes. They rip you off. You can get 40 tubes and with shipping included, it comes out to be only a dollar more at PBGear.

yeah as long as it is some type of vsc it is cool, a phantom with 12 ounce tank and a hopper just ruins the whole thing.

i have wanted a phantom for so damn long, its just that i started thinking in the past month about how much money i spend on such USELESS things in paintball, just made me want to quit. then i talked to my buddy and we decided to go pumps to save money and have more fun trying out a new style of play. i was actually worried about ridicule, not being teh uber cool kid.

Just to clear up the WWA thing. White Wolf was great with me when i ordered my phanty. He has really, really cheap prices. When the phantom got to me it was in perefect condition. Nothing wrong with the anno or anything else for that matter.

He also had realy great costumer service. He replyed to all of my emails very quickly.

It took him two weeks for the phantom to reach my doorstep, but that isnt that bad.

For the record, I got my phantom from white wolf and it's grrrrreat! He had some e-mail problems that have since been resolved so that may be why some people have a negative experience.

Why buy a standard color scheme when you can have a 100% unique color? It's pretty cool having the only phantom in the world with a blue/gold splash.
