I am thinking of buying an Intimidator, because the cost is not much more than a Bushie or Defiant. My questions are the following:
Once I buy the Timmy, what tank setup do I need? Adj, Fixed???
Do I need to get a special regulator for the gun? Or will the tank setup be fine?
Also, what tanks would people suggest? PMI, Air America, CenterFlag, Flatline, etc????
The reason fro these dumb questions is I am upgrading from an F-4, with a Fixed Crossfire tank. So, I need as much help as possible.
Thanks in advance for everyone who helps,

You can keep the crossfire if you buy an inline regulator, such as the Air America Messiah, MacDev Gladiator or palmer stabilizer.

ya i would suggest just keeping your tank and getting a nice inline reg like a gladiator or sidewinder.

Ya the Crossfire is what I started out with. That tank will do good for you. Like everyone else said just get and Inline Reg.

hey i was thinking about buying this gun too. i just wanted to know whats up with the regulator stuff.like high and low pressure regs on the gun. if i bought a crossfir 68/3000 tank would i need to make any adjustments? what would you prefer the high presure or low? i dont understand sorry =(

The High Pressure refers to the regulator that controls the pressure used to actually fire the ball. The low pressure, is the reg that controls the amount of pressure used to move the bolt and hammer back and forth, it is similar to spring tension on a Spyder or autococker. If you have a crossfire it's best to use an inline regulator, so the pressure going into the gun is around 500 psi. It isn't a matter of preferring high pressure or low, both regulators perform different functions, and you need seperate settings for both the High Pressure and Low Pressure

Download the manual. It has a lot of pictures, diagrams and very good explanations of how most of the gun works.

It's in Adobe Acrobat format. If you need the viewer, you can download that at http://www.adobe.com

Ok i think im etting this a little better.im sorry i didnt download that thing mike =(. i dunno whats up but here goes.
so the regulators BOTH work at the same time? and the Low pressure one(bottum) should be at 85 and the high pressure one needs to be at 200? am i right?

Well, 200 & 85 is a starting point. You'll have to use a chrono to dial it in perfectly. If you're shooting hot, lower the HP reg a bit. If too low, tighten the HP reg.
I'm not sure if I have the wording exact, but basically, the HP reg handles the pressure that the gun fires at. The LP reg is used to recock the gun. I think the exact process is a bit more complex than that, but it should help give you the gist of it.

Heck yeah I think it's better. That's why I shoot it myself. ACE is a big reason. Feel is another one.

You're making the right decision with the Intimidator. I like the Impulse, but I LOVE the Intimidator.

Without the LP mod, the low pressure Crossfire preset should work just fine:
